Ricardo Levins Morales Art Studio — Local services in Minneapolis

Upon biking up to this shop i found the walls covered with a powerful mural of trees, i locked my bike right outside, entered. No one was in the front of the store area, i suspected there were a few in the back separated by half walls, i began looking at things in the front area, the formal "store."

Each item in this place is a charm, filled with liberation, humor, and the deep joy of reckoning with hard truths.

The variations in prints, cards, and buttons create the conditions in which it is both fun and possible to find an item(s) whom most resonates with your current needs and imaginative space.

While i was perusing Ricardo found me, and asked how i was doing. I told him i was doing good, really meaning it, and here to check out the new location so i could write a truthful google review. We exchanged a few more words and he returned to mysterious and magical place behind the wall.

I ended up buying a handful of cards and a button. Yesterday i received a return letter from someone who was a recipient of one of those cards, in her response she was quoting the card, "Another world is possible" and telling me she pinned it to her wall, right above her writing desk.

What a gift that Ricardo and his team have decided to live and step up shop here in Minneapolis so that we may feel cared for and inspired by his long and dedication and attention to this work.

I will come to this shop in joyful imagination, to support those i love, and when i am in need of this type of medicine for hard times.
