This nail salon must be hit or miss depending on the nail technician you're assigned. My sister and I made appointments for mani/pedis while I was visiting over Thanksgiving. Her nails looked amazing but I was not as fortunate. The nail technician destroyed my natural nails with the drill and was so sloppy with it that my finger was bleeding from the bit hitting my skin. He also only pushed back / trimmed the cuticles on two of my fingers and didn't even assess the rest. There was a moment when he applied a layer of gel polish and then took the cuticle nippers and basically stabbed the center of my thumbnail multiple times, I have no idea what that was about but it hurt badly. On top of it all, my nails looked absolutely awful when he was done. I'd asked for a neutral color with a thin glitter french tip, and there were so many layers that my nails looked extremely chunky and uneven. The "thin french tip" was extremely sloppy and there was glitter spread over most of my nails. I should have said something about how unhappy I was but I have a hard time with that and just cried in the car. I removed the manicure as soon as I got home, it just looked so bad. I rarely get my nails done, only a couple of times a year as a treat, but this was the most expensive and worst nail salon experience...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first experience at S&P was pretty good. I got a gel fill from Winnie and she did a great job. I came in last Sunday for another fill and a pedicure and they put what I'm assuming was a gel top coat over normal nail polish, because after 4 hours the polish on my toes was still not dry because the top coat had not been cured. I called and asked if I should just put a normal top coat on my toes so they'll finally dry and they told me to come back and they'll redo them (kind, but I live 20 minutes away, work full time, and am also a mother, so I can't typically drop everything to go to the nail salon for the second time in a day). The fill I got was also not the greatest, I got french tips and the white polish is smeared all over multiple fingernails and half of my nails don't even have white polish at the very tips of them. I broke a nail yesterday and came in today for a repair, fully ready to pay and got the most absurd looking repair nail I've ever had on my hands. It is so thick and bubbly looking and over twice the width of the other nails on my hands. It's so bad that I'd consider getting my entire set removed. I really had high hopes for this place but after spending $150+ collectively and not getting what I paid for, there's no way I would recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read more6 weeks ago I made a Saturday afternoon appt for a set of nails. They were running a half hour behind. 2 weeks later I made a 10 am appt hoping I wouldnāt have to wait a half hour. The door says they open at 9:30. They were not open at 9:50 when I showed up. At 10:05 a van pulls up and several employees got out and opened the salon. I was seated at a station where I waited for 10 minutes while the manicurist was out side, in back on a break of some sort. Today, a Monday, I had an appointment and was taken promptly when I arrived. The manicurist had just begun my fill when a person came in and interrupted her to sell some jewelry for a ā$30 dollar donationā. After being abandoned for 5 minutes while my manicurist shopped for jewelry, I asked if she could finish my nails and shop for jewelry later. The man who appears to run the salon told me that I should āwait nicelyā. (Why the person who interrupted my appointment to solicit donations was not asked to āwait nicelyā is a mystery to me.) They apparently do not value their customersā time at this salon. I did not rebook and will not visit them again. What is sad, is that I have had no complaint about the quality of their work. It is just the disrespect for...
