Qdoba is a solid choice when you’re craving tex mex. I love the bowls here with the taco bowl. Spicy queso is my go-to as well with chips. It’s so good! They have a variety of meats to choose from to include impossible meat (plant based). I’ve tried chicken, steak and brisket and they are all delicious. The staff here were nice at my last visit. One Saturday though they didn’t have quac and it was soul crushing. Please don’t run out of quac again!

I like the fact you can pick and choose what you want. The steak is very flavorful and I love their guacamole. Their queso and chips are delicious and the staff is always friendly when I go here. They are never too busy when I go so I am in and out.

My go to place for burrito bowls. Their queso and guac usually hit the spot. Clean bathrooms, clean facilities and friendly staff. This is the place to get your Qdoba at If you’re in Minot.

Brief History

Qdoba Mexican Eats was founded in 1995 in Denver, Colorado, as Zuma Fresh Mexican Grill, rebranding to Qdoba in 1999. The Minot, ND, location at 2045 N Broadway, part of the Dakota Square Mall, opened during Qdoba’s expansion into smaller markets. Specific opening dates for this branch aren’t publicly documented, but it serves customizable Mexican dishes like burritos, tacos, and bowls, aligning with the chain’s focus on fresh, bold flavors.

NAICS Code

Qdoba operates as a fast-casual restaurant, classified under NAICS code 722513 (Limited-Service Restaurants), covering establishments where customers order and pay before eating.

Ownership

The Minot Qdoba is likely a franchise under Qdoba Restaurant Corporation, owned by Apollo Global Management since 2018. Specific franchisee details for this location aren’t publicly available, but Qdoba’s corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA, oversees brand standards.

Management

The Minot location is managed by a local general manager, with oversight from Qdoba’s corporate team. Specific manager names aren’t listed in public sources. Typical roles include handling operations, staff training, and customer service, reporting to regional franchise or corporate supervisors. Economic Impact

The Minot Qdoba contributes to the local economy through job creation, sales tax, and increased foot traffic at Dakota Square Mall. Fast-casual restaurants like Qdoba typically generate $1–2 million annually per location, supporting local suppliers and nearby businesses. Exact figures for this branch aren’t available but align with Minot’s retail hub activity.

Employment

The Minot Qdoba likely employs 15–25 staff, based on typical fast-casual restaurant staffing models. Roles include cashiers, cooks, and shift leads, with seasonal fluctuations due to Minot’s tourism. Precise employment data for this location isn’t publicly reported.

Compliance

No specific compliance issues (e.g., health or labor violations) are reported for this Qdoba in public records. Qdoba adheres to federal and state regulations, including food safety and labor laws like Title VII. Some reviews note inconsistent mask-wearing during COVID, but no formal violations are documented.

Reputation

The Minot Qdoba enjoys a solid reputation, with reviews praising its fresh ingredients, customizable menu, and friendly staff. Average ratings range from 3.5–4.5 stars on platforms like Yelp and Restaurantji, though some cite higher prices compared to competitors. It’s valued for quick, quality Mexican food in Minot.

Social Responsibility Participation and Involvement Score

Qdoba engages in limited community initiatives, such as catering for local events and offering rewards programs. The Minot location likely participates in mall-driven community activities, but no specific CSR programs (e.g., sustainability or charity drives) are documented locally. Corporate Qdoba emphasizes employee development but lacks robust public CSR efforts. I rate its involvement a 3 on a 1–10 scale, reflecting minimal structured...

The food was just okay. The guacamole tasted good, but it was a very tiny (maybe 1/8th cup?) serving that comes with the $9+ Steak quesadilla, basically ala carte, I had to buy rice, beans (totally bland, saltless), and tea as separate items to have a meal. Since this is pretty much fast food, counter order, pickup, and seahit yourself, I find the prices really high. Quesadilla, rice, beans, iced tea, 10% tip (reduced for unfriendly counter service)+ tax = $15.73. The main reason I'm giving such a low rating is due to subpar cleanliness. At around 4pm, all the tables and seating were soiled with food, so they were unwiped nor sanitized, nor were they cleaned for the entire time I was there eating, the hand sanitizer dispenser was empty, the trash bins were full and overflowing, and the floors were disgustingly dirty, as if they hadn't been mopped in a very long time, and it had probably been years since they were deep cleaned. The entire restaurant had a grimy feel to it. Had I not been in a huge hurry and extremely hungry, I wouldn't have eaten...

I’m always very impressed with this location as most of the staff are very young and they all tend to show they care about their job. Today in particular I was very impressed because I walked in and it was so noticeably different that I asked the gentleman behind the counter if they had put in new counters. He explained to me that he had just cleaned them very well and the whole food area and seating areas were also very clean and organized. This young man clearly shows ambition and care also to pass on to his coworkers the importance of doing a good job. He told the other young man putting the toppings on a bowl to do it nicely so that it has good appearance. I was very impressed by that as you don’t always expect that kind of attention to detail at a quick stop take out type of place. Food was...
