Great food, amazing coffee, and tasty miscellaneous flavored drinks. Friendly and helpful employees.
I have an update. I ordered the same coffee beverage 3 times every week for a month. Too often, they did not include the 2 extra shots I paid for. Very milky, light, and bubbly iced coffee. Sadly, it is becoming a run-of-the-mill coffee shop. I regret giving tips for the orders in which I did not receive what I paid for.
Second update. I decided to try an infused red bull. I've always ordered online. I fell in love with the infused redbull with melon berry tea and guava flavoring plus a splash of cream. I ordered it for many days, many weeks. It was a pretty bright pink color and so delicious. Now, for the past couple of weeks, every time I order it, whether morning or afternoon, it is a pale pink color, has very little flavoring, and mostly tastes like a regular red bull. I'm so disappointed. I don't know if I've ever given them a reason not to like me? Or maybe they dont enjoy making my drink? I'm just so confused why the quality starts failing after I begin loving a new drink. I always tip 15% or 20%, and I still get low quality drinks. One time, they had my drink behind their ordering counter. I waited 20 minutes for my drink to appear in the mobile order tray. I couldn't wait longer, so I went to the cashier and politely asked if my drink had been made already. She looked around and grabbed my watered-down drink from a counter behind her. I thanked her although I wasn't very happy with the service.
Update after another month - they have gotten the ingredients in my drink wrong 5 times in a row, once every week for 5 weeks. All weekdays, between 7:30am and 4:30pm. Once under my friend's name, four times under my name in the Local Toast app. I don't know if they are untrained, petty, or just careless. I have decided to quit buying here and try...
Read moreProbably one of the worst coffee places in Minot but unique because they also have the worst staff. Drove all the way from Minot AFB to use my reward get coffee and splurge on biscuits and gravy. I waited THIRTY minutes in the drive thru just for the biscuits and gravy. Drove half way back to base and realized they didn’t even make the order right so I drove back to them and once I got there I walked inside and all 3 of the girls were just standing there staring at me. I’m already frustrated for having to wait that long for something so small and simple in the first place that’s on YOUR menu in the drive thru but having to come back because YOU made it wrong and being told I’ll be with you in one minute while all 3 of you stand there was beyond FRUSTRATING. I already had to drive back, drag my sleeping baby out in the cold to go inside and they couldn’t even make it quick, simple or right. The “manager” who apparently just got there, came up to help and was rude to me immediately and couldn’t understand why I was frustrated…. didn’t offer to comp the meal and give a refund for literally all of the inconvenience instead took another 10 minutes to process a simple $8 refund and took my food away that was made incorrectly. Worst place EVER in Minot. I will be sure to share with anyone and everyone how awful they are and to go...
Read moreI’ve been to the Meg-A-Latte in Minot, Grand Forks, and Watford City. Unfortunately, the Minot location isn’t one I’ll be returning to. The service is very friendly, but my drinks were terrible on every occasion. An iced mocha was so bitter that I had to put a pinch of baking soda in it — and a hot cider tasted like boiled water with hint of apple juice and something chemical-y. The coffee at the Grand Forks location was delicious, so this was surprising and disappointing.
Since I had two completely different drinks with issues that can both be caused by overly-hot water at some stage during the process, I’m inclined to assume that this location needs to turn down the temperature when brewing anything. (Or, if the temp setting looks reasonable, test their machines to make sure that the temperature output matches the setting.)
Also, I think they need a better water filtration system. Unlike Grand Forks and Watford City, Minot has pretty terrible drinking water that tastes and smells like chlorine. I suspect that the city’s water additives are affecting drink consistency, and they’re probably more noticeable to customers who are used to fresh,...
