The only reason why I'm giving this 2 stars is because I enjoyed the personal training. Now with that being said, they just want your money. I know... It's a contract. The messed up part about this company is that when Co-VID got bad and it was not safe to go out, they would not cancel my contract. They put it on hold for 3 months as if Co-VID was going to disappear. You would think, in a nation pandemic, there would be understanding that maybe, just maybe, I value my life more than going to the gym. They don't think so. I still have to continue 'donating' money monthly because they won't cancel and I'm not going back. I tried to go, just to get my money's worth but my anxiety wouldn't allow me. It made me paranoid every time I went in there. I even tried going at night with limited people but people were in there... No masks, no six feet, not wiping things down correctly and I just wasn't comfortable. If you get a contract here, it doesn't matter if you're on your deathbed or you lose everything, you still have to pay them 12 payments. I also paid for a buddy pass but because of Co-VID you couldn't bring in a buddy. It's been over a year and you can't bring in a buddy but you can pay for...
Read moreI have been a member of Workout Anytime - Mint Hill on and off for a couple years and have generally found the facilities to be clean and well-maintained, with up-to-date equipment and a friendly workout environment. The gym provides a wide range of equipment, making it an inviting place to exercise.
However, I experienced significant issues with the billing and customer service departments. Despite multiple requests to stop billing my card with small transactionsâup to 6 times a day on two separate occasionsâmy concerns were ignored. This repeated billing was frustrating and financially disruptive. Additionally, when I requested a cancellation contract, the staff lost my email, resulting in a delay in processing my cancellation. These issues created unnecessary stress and inconvenience.
The only positive aspect of my experience was Ethan, the regional manager, who listened to my concerns and addressed them professionally. His responsiveness and respect for my requests were greatly appreciated and contrasted sharply with the unresponsiveness of the other staff members. Despite the excellent facilities, improvements in customer service and billing processes are necessary for a better...
Read moreI'm currently a member, and honestly, I can't wait for my renewal to cancel and try out a new gym. You're not allowed to cancel anytime. You are locked in to their contract unless you pay a hefty fee to get out.
I'll start off with the things I enjoy about the gym. I like that it's near me. It makes it convenient, being that I attend mainly early AM.
The things I don't like about the gym, in the locker room, there's a gym class schedule but NO classes. The scale doesn't work for about a month now, and there are hardly ever consistent paper towels to wipe your sweat. There is also no overnight EE'S to reach out to with questions or clean up the bathroom, which had a ton of tissue on the floor in the stalls.
This AM, 5/6/24, there was NO antibacterial wipes to clean the machines, I went to about 4 and none had any, only the one far in the corner by the smith machine had wipes.
There are tons of spider webs in the gym as well.
I pay $29.99 a month, which includes sauna and hydro, and that's it, no extra perks, no extra ppl, and I truly don't think it's worth it.
I would rather spend my $29.99 a...
