NOT AS ADVERTISED. This is the second time I've been disappointed. My wife gets the sweet and sour chicken and likes that. I read a review from someone who said they ordered a shrimp dish and it was all rice and broccoli. I ordered a seafood delight that I've enjoyed at other Chinese restaurants and it was alot of broccoli, the lobster was inedible, horrid and rubbery all balled up like a shrimp, and NO KING CRAB!!! The menu differentiates between imitation crab meat as "crab stick" and specifically stating "King Crab" in the dishes... The lobster always seems to be an issue with this dish no matter where it's made. One sea scallop sliced thin and a good portion of shrimp. The highlight of this dish is the sauce which was very good. The fried rice tasted like a ladle full of fryer oil was put in the wok which ruined the flavor and the eggroll tasted like it had cinnamon and sugar in it. While that wasn't bad, it tasted more like dessert than an eggroll. The inedible lobster no King Crab, plus the inconsistencies in the rice and eggroll are why this restaurant dish gets only 2 of 5 stars. I am not sure if the customer service deficits are better culturally explained or deliberately argumentative as I witnessed, and stern, but I can see why some take offense. I let it slide, but I...
Read moreSo was craving some Chinese tonight. We lost our old time favorite when the owners retired and let their kids takeover. Soo, drive by this quaint place all the time. Finally got a chance to go. AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Large order for us. Small hiccup when the forgot to pack husband's meal. Called, ran back up to restaurant and everything fixed. Amazing customer service, kindness and care. Always order more than we can eat in one meal for great leftovers. My nostalgia- Chicken Egg Foo Young- fluffy, crunchy, sweet, savory all in one meal. “Gravy” wonderful. I chose white rice over fried. Husband- Sesame Chicken. Again white rice. He said it was great Pork Egg Rolls - excellent Spring Rolls- super crunchy Crab Rangoon- Hot and crunchy Fried Wontons- HOT, crunchy and flavorful
Just a great experience when you have been searching for a little comfort. Glad to have a new Favorite again. We ordered a few more things but haven’t tried them yet. Will...
Read moreI can’t understand what’s happened to this place over the last few years. I keep thinking I will give it one more try and I always regret it, afterwards! Sweet and Sour sauce, completely different taste than their usual, the Sesame chicken was terrible, the Chicken was barely warm (if that) and the broccoli not cooked AT ALL! The Lo Mein noodles, over cooked and falling apart! The Crab Rangoon seemed like it wasn’t even fried this go around, seemed like it was cooked previously and warmed up. This was such a disappointment. The absolute only thing that wasn’t bad was the egg rolls. And why is the front of the restaurant where customers normally would sit at the tables, strewn with boxes open, and a complete mess. This was really a huge disappointment and we loved Hop Feng when it must have had different owners pre-COVID. Loved it back then, and they were very nice people who smiled and welcomed you when you walked in....
