WINDOW INSTALLATION REVIEW: After receiving several quotes from window installers in the area, we decided to go with Home Depot—and that turned out to be a mistake. The salesperson gave us a great presentation, showed us a few window samples, and from that point on, everything started to go downhill. It all began with an unexpected $500 scaffolding charge that was never disclosed upfront. We were told we would receive custom windows for the upstairs bedrooms, but later discovered we were given standard windows with 4-inch borders. They failed to inform us of maximum and minimum dimension limits for custom windows. The project started in June and wasn’t completed until December. Throughout the process, PGT windows were delivered with defects such as scratches and bubbles in the glass. The initial order included a frosted bathroom window for privacy, but what was delivered was plain, clear glass—causing further delays. Despite multiple site visits, Home Depot staff measured the windows on three separate occasions, assuring us the windows would be custom-fit. However, what we received were standard windows with oversized wooden borders. While we were told metal framing was an option, they later claimed it wasn’t. Instead, the wooden borders were covered with thin metal sheeting, which they said is the “industry standard.” When a Home Depot customer service representative visited our home to address concerns, his unprofessional and condescending response was, “It’s important to read what you signed, sir,” which he repeated several times. The local manager was later dispatched, but unfortunately, her approach was no better. A structural engineer failed the installation on the first inspection due to improper brackets—Home Depot used 1-inch and 2-inch wood planks instead of solid 3-inch ones. Even worse, the Home Depot manager asked the engineer and other workers if they spoke another language so they could continue their discussion out of earshot of the homeowner. Very professional. Following that, the City of Pembroke Pines failed the project due to improper footing at the windowsills. Concrete had to be poured to ensure the nails could properly adhere to the frame. Although the project is now completed, the entire process was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I do want to acknowledge the one professional throughout this ordeal—the contractor. He followed up regularly, responded promptly, provided solutions when issues arose, and remained professional the entire time. In conclusion, whenever someone asks who did our windows, I make it clear: do not go with Home Depot. I will continue to share this message as long as I am a homeowner. I will also be sending a formal notice to Home Depot headquarters. My recommendation: Do your research. Look into energy-efficient windows. The energy performance scale ranges from 0.2 to 1.2. Home Depot’s windows with argon gas rate around 0.60—but for South Florida, you’ll want something below 0.45 for optimal performance.

Good afternoon everyone this is Jason Read your local area expert Realtor. Recently, I needed to purchase some materials for a for my upcoming listing, so I headed to my local Home Depot store. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly associate who asked if I needed any help. I told her what I was looking for, and she quickly guided me to the right aisle where I could find the materials I needed. Once I found the materials, I noticed that one of the items was out of stock. I asked another associate if they had any more in the back, and she offered to check for me. She was able to find the item and brought it out to me within a few minutes. Next, I needed help with selecting some products that I was not familiar with. Another associate offered to show me the various options and explained the differences between them. She also provided me with some helpful tips on how to use them properly. As I was checking out, the cashier was friendly and efficient, and she even helped me find a coupon to use that saved me some money on my purchase. Overall, my experience at Home Depot was fantastic. The associates were all very helpful and knowledgeable, and I was able to find everything I needed for my project. I left the store feeling satisfied and confident that I had made the right choices in my purchases. I would definitely recommend Home Depot to anyone looking for great goods and fantastic service.

I don't usually post reviews unless the service at an establishment is really worthy of the time, however i had to post this review because the level of service i received was so poor that it makes me wonder if the business emphasizes to it's employees the worth of their customers. I came into this home depot for a few items and to make a spare house key. When no one was at the station i waited for about 2 minutes and no one with a home depot apron even looked my way. I even started pushing buttons on the kiosk thinking maybe it was a self serve station. Ultimately it displayed that an associate was needed. That's when i walked over and asked a person in an apron if i could please have some assistance with making a key. His response without even looking at me was "I'll be there in a min". I then waited for him at the kiosk till he finished looking at shelves which obviously was more important than my request. When he approached there was no greeting and he just held his hand out for the key. After giving him the key i figured he might just be having a bad day, so instead of giving him the choice words i was thinking, i decided to treat him with the courtesy that i was expecting and hopefully turn a negative experience into a positive one. So without looking at me or saying one word he finished making the key and handed it to me. I took the key and said to him "Thank you very much Sir". I was going to follow it up with "Have a great day"! However , his response of "Ok" as he walked off left me with a feeling of anger that compelled me to report him to management. After seeing all the associates busy with customers and no apparent manager in sight i decided to just write a lengthy review and never to patronize home depot again since Lowe's is actually closer to my residence and far superior...

The past month of coming here has been a nightmare.. I came a month ago to order custom blinds, waited 30 min for a young kid to come help me by then I was already sitting on the floor in the aisle after asking 3 times for someone to come help me. Finally order my 7 blinds with the representative, says it will take 3 weeks to ship. 3 weeks pass, nothing came on time..a few days later 2 boxes come with 2 blinds. Few days later, another 2 boxes come, few days later 1 box comes. 2 of the blinds that came were the same size and still got delivered on different days. I never received 2 of my blinds. I came in to talk to management and they say it shows delivered, another month I’m guessing until I get a refund or new blinds because they have to call the vendor because they have absolutely no info on shipment. Same day blinds at this location are a scam as well. Nobody is qualified. There’s a million people working at this location and half of them have no idea what’s going on. The employees just stare at you, they don’t say hi, don’t ask if you need help, more or less looking at you like why the heck are you here. I get everyone doesnt want to work in america but you literally have a damn iPad in front of you and 17 employees huddled around each other and none of you can do a simple task? None of you can’t help a customer? Oh it’s not your department? THEN SEND ME THE MANAGERS. ALL OF THEM. GENERAL MANGERS, anyone who can do their job correctly inside of THIS Home Depot. This shopping center has so many other places you can work at if you can’t do simple things but the employees wouldn’t get hired anywhere else because like chilfila across the street, you have to be polite, well mannered and customer friendly which these...
