Clean little place with minimal seating. They serve food that would be considered healthy and is definitely a better choice than fried foods, greasy burgers and fries. I am here often for one thing. I love their açaí bowls. I always get the classic in either small or medium. In order to attempt to reduce the sugar, I get no banana. This bowl has a heaping portion of açaí frozen sorbet type mix and topped with granola, fruit and chia seeds. I am pretty much addicted to this bowl and have had to stop coming so often because I know that it’s still loaded with sugar. They do say that it has no added sugar but their açaí is sweet. If you’ve ever had real acai, it isn’t sweet at all and more of a tart taste. Places like this will blend it up with fruit, and even dairy to make it more appealing to the palate. Some also add honey. So if you’re concerned about your sugar intake, I do believe that this has a lot of sugar. I have cut down to maybe once per month as opposed to once per week (which is how often I was eating this). I blabbed so much about the bowl but I do want to mention, I have also tried their salad with tuna. The salad has lots of beautiful fresh vegetables and I love that. However, I find their tuna to be dry and a bit salty. I think all tuna salad needs is mayo and black pepper because it’s already salty. That way, it won’t clash with your salad dressing. And since I’ve mentioned dressing, their dressings are not good to me. I dislike all that Ive tasted so far, the poblano avocado dressing, the jerk dressing, plain Italian dressing all taste store bought and loaded with preservatives. So I don’t get dressing when I get salad from here. Otherwise, I like this place, like the atmosphere, they are always very nice, service is quick, they have a steady flow of customers all the time. Nice...
Read moreSo I come to this Smothie Plus quite often. If I showed you my credit card transactions, you'd think im insane lol. There are 3 people that take and make your order. The Hispanic slightly heavy set guy (awesome) who is there all the time, the Hispanic lady (awesome) who is there sometimes, and then there is the guy wearing the glasses. The guy with the glasses messes up my smoothie 100% of the time he does it. The other 2 people do a fantastic job making the smoothies. Unfortunately, when I walk into this location, I have to cross my fingers that the gentleman wearing the glasses is not the one making my order. The consistency/ flavor is never the same. It comes out extra thick, sometimes even puding like. It's a shame how long this man has been working at this location and gets the smoothies wrong time and time again. It's honestly a waste of money every time he makes my order.
All and all, this location is good, besides the particular person making my smoothie. You might get lucky and get an awesome smoothie if you get...
Read moreCustomer service was pretty good. But this chain smoothie spot needs to go away. A bit overpriced at almost $10. You can go up the street to “Power Smoothie” and pay $2 less. You ever go to a new establishment for the first time and expect them to guide you on what’s really good on the menu? Well they tried but gave absolutely too many options and one of the options were the Banana plus which was lacking. The bananas were way too ripe and you should not be serving green bananas in a smoothie because it doesn’t have the real banana flavor yet which leaves a more bitter taste. I added peanut butter to curve that flavor but he added too much which makes it very thick paired with that bitter banana taste which was no good. The mango smoothie was a waste. When you give me a fruit smoothie and it tastes like water added to fruit, you simply don’t know what you’re doing and you’re just blending fruit and ice without finding balance. Cool place but If I can make a better smoothie at home I’m not...
