We were so pleased with the cake we received from FlourGirls Bakery. The price was also surprisingly good for the amazing quality. A+
We wanted something beautiful and delicious for our parents 50th anniversary...it was in fact BOTH beautiful and delicious!
My husband, sister-in-law and myself especially enjoyed trying out all the cupcakes throughout the month to pick out our favorite flavors for the cake. There were so many good ones but in the end we settled on a simple chocolate for the top layer, wedding cake for the bottom layer all topped with a cream cheese icing. It was so good. Not dry at all! We did not have leftovers even though we ordered way more cake then we needed. I’ve never seen a cake eaten so fast with so many big smiles.
The detail work on the cake itself was very well done and everybody commented on how nice it was.
The customer service was great just make sure you order your cake with plenty of notice because they do get booked up.
The only thing I might suggest they do differently is to let the customer pick the color plate the cake itself is going to be placed on. I say this because it was a “50th golden anniversary” with lots of gold touches in our decor and the base plate they used was silver. Nothing we couldn’t work around but if the option to choose between white, silver or gold was there upon ordering that would have made things even nicer.
Overall, I highly recommend FlourGirls Bakery and I will definitely be a...
Read moreI honestly never in my life thought I’d cry over a cake, until today. I had order my husband this, what was suppose to be, really awesome 30th birthday cake. The girl I had put the order in with promised me that this cake was going to be awesome. Candies, a funny saying, “Happy 30th Birthday, Jeremy”, and even told me to go out and get little liquor bottles to put on it. I’ve been so excited about this cake. When I went to pick it up, this cake literally had nothing but “Jeremy 30” on it. My heart sank. I voiced to the girl that brought the cake out to me that this isn’t even close to what I had ordered and didn’t even have the little liquor bottles on it. They quickly took it to the back to try and put something together. The girl that had brought the cake out to me was very kind and apologetic, but the lack of empathy from the, who I assume to be the owners part (older lady with glasses,) was incredibly disheartening. No apology, only excuses on how busy they’ve been, how they can’t help the girl that took my order didn’t put better notes, and that she’s off so they can’t ask her what it was suppose to be like. Basically, “it is what it is.” I was so excited and happy after I placed my order, up until pick up. I guess what I got is better than nothing, but will not be back and will not be recommending to others just based off the lack of...
Read moreI've had cupcakes and other goodies from here on multiple occasions. My sister loves this place. I think their lemon bars are good, but not as good as homemade, which I always assume a bakery tries to be better than. Of course, this place is more like a cakery, truth be told. The way I see it, if you don't make pastries, you are not a true baker. Mmmm, chocolate croissants and fresh raisin challah bread. But I digress. Their cupcakes have good flavor, but to me are too dense and dry, which is not the usual thing for pound cake, usually they are one or the other and finding someone who can master that perfect middle is such a prize. And the buttercream icing is so heavy and they put so much on it. I literally watched our partygoers knock the huge icing tops off two dozen cupcakes and eat the cake and filling. What a waste. I am sure my sister will come back and buy from here but I would rather pickup cupcakes at Publix. This is one of those places you either love or don't. I say try it once to figure out whether...
