ALDI — Local services in Mobile

Well I grew up on Aldi so I was excited to experience it again here in Alabama. I was blown away. They've come so far. Their choices of foods are of good quality and taste. They're produce has been better than other stores around town. They have cheeses that you'd expect from a high end place with prices on the low end. They have big meats like turkeys and hams. I am impressed with their food selections. They also have household items, soaps, and paper goods. AND THE BEST PART.... PRICE PRICE PRICE!! Times are hard right now at some point for everyone and Aldi has the grocery help you need! The people working there are pleasant also. Yes they charge for paper bags, they do not offer plastic, they sell reusable with insulation and without. Not offering plastic and charging change for paper is one way they keep cost down and stay environment friendly. Yes it is a quarter for a cart, but you're only renting it. When you return the cart the quarter pops back out for you. This is a deterrent for cart stealing( Aldi is from big city) and keeps cost and rift raft down. I have never used the restroom here so I don't know it cleanliness. This store is a win...

This store is a dud. This was my first time in Aldi. My mother-in-law and husband had been in Aldi in Oklahoma, they told me it was a great store with all sorts of European brands. Not this place. Basically, it is all he same garbage you can buy in any Walmart or big chain grocery store. It is small, my husband warned me of that. I was really disappointed. Also, you need a quarter for a cart and I make it a point to never carry cash on me. So, no cart for me, and we got no bags either to bag our groceries. Although this might have been nothing more then a minor inconvenience for me, I am more concerned for elderly and disabled folks shopping here. I will not shop here again, I really did not like the vibe this place puts out plus our cashier was...

Dropped in to grab a few things. Had to go to the bathroom and started to walk in and this guy stopped me and told me he just cleaned that one. He said I’m sure you want a clean bathroom but I just cleaned it so use the one not cleaned. So I went into the dirty disgusting other bathroom. I had to clean up, flush before. So a minute or two later someone stuck a key in the lick and opened it up on me. I screamed and was shocked because i had just sat down. Then I finished and went about shopping. Then I was approached saying the lights were going to go out and the registers would not work so I needed to check out. I asked if closing was announced and she said no. I checked out and needless to say I will not be back...
