Possibly one of the worst experiences ever. I got hired here Friday, and that night I took my husband out over here to celebrate. During our dinner time the server asked my husband what he wanted, took down the order, and asked if he would like to add the salad bar for $4.99 extra. My husband said yes and to just let me get the Salad Bar. The server Michael said we couldn't do that, and wouldn't explain to my husband very well why we couldnt do it; so my husband asked for the manager, Sarah. Sarah explained to him why it was he couldn't just give me his salad, and apologized. My husband wasn't very hungry so when the server came back he said he didn't want anything at that moment. So I ordered. A medium rare steak with shrimp, a baked potato and grilled zucchini. The steak was extremely tough and not edible, the zucchini has grease all over it and it tasted like... Something was burnt. I can't describe it. So I asked for chicken tenders instead. While the server went to get it, my husband and I decided to go eat somewhere else, and we informed the server that we would just pay for what we had (two drinks and some mashed potatoes for our daughter). And left. Then I get a call today saying that they no longer wanted to hire me, and didn't give me a through explanation. We weren't rude period to our server Michael, or to Sarah. My husband was nice and apologetic, as was I. This place is a joke of a business and a joke of a restaurant. They pay their hostesses $4.00 an hour y'all... So maybe it was for the best. Thank you Marla and Sarah for one of the worst hiring and dining experiences ever.
Come to find out, Nancy Donahue from corporate called me and informed me that apparently the reason why they decided not to proceed is because my husband "intimidated" Sarah. All because he asked for a manager and wanted to find out why he can't pay for the...
Read moreSo, my sister and I decided to meet up and have dinner here. My meal was ok,I had chicken parmesan. Wasn't crazy that it had penne pasta on it but I thought I would try it. Honestly would have been better with linguine . I didn't get a chance to take a pic of it though. I told the waitress that I wanted to order something for my husband to take home. She was very friendly and helpful since I told her my husband was picky about how he wants his veggies cooked. She let me sub the mashed potatoes for a second vegetable. Well we were done with our food and the waitress brought the to go order. I decided to open it to make sure the veggies were cooked as I requested. They were but my complaint was the tiny portions of vegetables. I told the waitress I wasn't taking it out on her,it wasn't her fault. I even gave her a tip. She told me the food comes in pre portioned. That's saying,it's frozen not fresh. She asked did I want to speak with her manager. I replied, what would she do or say any different? She said the manager would just say the same thing. Talking to a manager would have set me off even more and I probably would have caused a scene. But I did relay to the waitress that I would write a review about it. She said she would let her manager know. FYI Ruby Tuesday's owner/ manager in Tilmans Corner, the portions of vegetables I received and paid $19.00 for is unacceptable and pathetic. I want a refund. If not,I will blast it in Facebook as well.
I went to this restaurant last week and sat at the bar. The bartender was new however, I did not know that. I asked for a drink, and specifically said a large drink. The bartender did not know how to make it so she gave me the small drink. When I questioned her, she went back into the computer and found out how to make the large drink, but she did not take the drink back. She basically said I would have to take what she gave me. I let that slide. Then I ordered some wings plain and onion rings. I asked for the wings to be dusted with cajun seasonings. She did not know how to ring it up. She kept asking me to repeat my order and seemed frustrated bc again she did not know how to ring it up. I got frustrated because she was being very rude. I told her that I ordered that all the time, and there was no need to be rude with me. She argued me down that she wasn't being rude. I eventually got upset and walked out the store but before I left, I asked to speak to the manager and she came out, and I told her what happened and she offered to seat me somewhere else and she would personally make my drink. However, I was pissed, so why would I stay And eat at that restaurant if the bartender was giving me a hard time. I filed a complaint with corporate online, but I have not heard anything back from them. I guess they don’t care how their employees treat the customers. I want to make it clear that I had been a regular customer at that restaurant for almost 9 years And I have never had a problem up until now. I will never go back to Ruby...
