Update 3/24/2024 This place is ridiculous. I just waited 35 in the drive thru lane for a burger, fries, a fish meal and 2 drinks. To start with there was only one car in front of us and all they ordered was a drink, but they sat there for 10 minutes waiting on that drink. Then once we got to the window, the girl told us our order, but it was incorrect. So we corrected it and then waited another 25 minutes for our food. Now I'm trying to eat it and of course it's wrong. They gave me a fish sandwich instead of the two fillets I ordered. On top of that, it's disgusting. It tastes like the fish soaked in onion juice for weeks . The fries are so salty I can't eat them either. So once again, I basically gave them money for nothing because I can't eat any of this trash. It's going straight into the dumpster. This is the last time, and mean it, I will ever waste my money at this Whataburger. They consistently give bad food and bad service and they don't do anything to fix the issues. Heck, they don't even reach out when u complain and try to give any type of apology. They just seem to sit back and laugh at u for being the fool for spending ur money there in the first place. Well never again for me and my family. I rather drive an hour to Saraland to get my Whataburger fix, than ever have this one cross my mind.
I ordered through the app and decided to do curbside pickup. Well I've been waiting 25 minutes and still haven't received my food. This is a joke. If they aren't going to do the curbside pickup, why offer it on the app and online? I have better things to do than to wait here for 30 minutes and lose money. Update: I ended up having to call the store and ask them what was up. I didn't get any "sorry for your wait" or anything. Read moreNEW EDIT FOR OUR VISIT on 4/7/24 Not sure what happened but they have gone down hill significantly since our last visit. My wife ordered in the app and I ordered on the spur of the moment. Her hamburger was cold and soggy and looked like it had been made by a toddler. Her fries were also cold. The only thing hot was the apple pie and it was burn your lips hot. I ordered an apple pie and a chocolate shake just as an impulse buy and my apple pie was brought to me about 10 minutes before her order was finally ready. My shake was brought to me shortly after her meal. The manager handed me my "chocolate" shake which looked rather white to be a chocolate shake. I reminded her that I'd ordered a chocolate shake and she informed me quite adamantly that what I had WAS a chocolate shake and that she'd just made it. Far be it from me to argue with a manager so I said "oh, thanks" and went and sat down to enjoy my apple pie and "chocolate" shake. The pie was excellent and my "chocolate" shake was delicious, even though it was the blondest, most vanilla tasting and least chocolaty "chocolate" shake I've ever had. My wife asked for a refund for her burger since it was so sloppy and soggy that it was inedible only to be informed that app and online purchases had to be refunded online. Won't be back.

Their credit card system was down and we had freebies with purchase on the app. Manager honored our freebie deal and comped our meals since all whe had with us was cards. Read moreAlthough this location is the newest one in Mobile, I still haven't gone inside the restaurant. I have only done curbside. My only complaint is that when you order through the app, you can put who that particular order is for (you can type in any name you want) but the employee(s) prepping the order didn't mark either the burger wrapper or the bag the order went in to. Other than that the location has been good. Orders have been correct and the employees have been friendly.
My complaint seems petty, but if you take the time to customize each burger for the person that it's for, then 'mark' each order, but nothing is marked when you get it, it's a bit frustrating to either check each burger and try to figure out who wanted that particular one. Or have everyone grab a burger to see what's in it and exchange til everyone gets what they wanted. If memory serves me right, BK and McD's both have ways of knowing what's on a burger without opening the burger. Either the wrapper is labeled or the box is. Whataburger's wrapper is plain/no markings at all. They could either mark the wrapper with the custom name or what was added or left off the burger so it's not so much of a guessing game.
Update: I have experienced the drive-thru a few times since my first review. The above still applies, but expect a long wait in the drive-thru. It may take anywhere between 5-15 minutes from the time you place your order. Especially at night/early morning. Drive-thru employees are friendly and...
