The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Midtown Mobile is an absolutely gorgeous and historic church — truly one of the city’s treasures. I’ve attended their annual Greek Fest for years, and it’s always one of my favorite local events. The church itself is stunning, rich with history and beautiful architecture, and everyone there is so warm, welcoming, and eager to share their stories and the church’s heritage. Greek Fest is held every October and is an absolute must-do in Mobile! They offer a convenient drive-thru if you’d rather not get out of your car, but I highly recommend walking through the festival to soak up all the sights, sounds, and smells. You’ll find food tents with lamb shanks, gyros, Greek fried beignets (loukoumades), and of course, an amazing dessert table full of authentic Greek sweets made by the sweetest church ladies — they’re absolutely divine. There’s live Greek music, traditional dancing, inflatables for the kids, and a festive family-friendly atmosphere that makes it feel like you’ve been transported straight to Greece. Parking can be a block or two away, but the walk through Midtown’s tree-lined streets is beautiful and adds to the charm. If you’re in Mobile in October, don’t miss Greek Fest. The food, the people, and the entire experience are five-star all the way. OPA! 🇬🇷

Greek Fest 2022 was a welcomed celebration of people, spirit, food, and culture. We went at noon on Sunday and were impressed with their complete organization: parking, security, food prep, entertainment, layout, and diversity. We expected long lines and people. They were extremely efficient in moving the lines along and preparing you for drink and food ordering. I liked the variety of sitting tables. I'm only sad that they ran out of pastries, which is a huge complement to them! Food was so good (Lamb Shank and Pastichio).

This is just a review for the food at Greek fest 2025 I was so excited to have the gyro and chicken plate from the Greek fest this year and what I received was such a disappointment especially since it was almost 30 dollars. The gyro had 2 pieces of meat and LOADS of tomatoes 😭the chicken plate just felt bland and boring, the rice was the only good part imo. Maybe it’ll be better next time.

Greek Fest 2018! They have remodeled, and rearranged things a bit, with the stage moved down to one end, there is more room and the music is not so overpowering. They moved the vendors to the parking lot so there is more room to shop. VEGAN dolamathes! (Stuffed grape leaves.) These were personally recommended by the priest, a stark contrast to the dead animal on the rotisserie out back, which was hard to take. Children's area presents four inflatables for $7 unlimited use--a double slide, two jumpy houses and an...
