Emergency Room | Kaiser Permanente Modesto Medical Center and Medical Offices — Local services in Modesto

So yesterday I had to go to emergency department. The staff, and Doctors were absolutely amazing. But the other stuff was NOT. First of all, NOT enough staff to cover the overwhelming amount of patients. Secondly, they took me in, then I got a CT scan, was sent back to over populated waiting room to wait for my results which probably took another hour, then to be called into a room along with other sick patients waiting for the Dr to go over my results, there was NO privacy at all. The Dr came in to the person next to me, giving his results, which they said he had the flu😲😲😩😟🫣are you kidding me. You put me in danger of someone else's sickness, and I have cancer. I quickly got out of that room and went into the hallway to wait for the Dr to give me my results. How dare they expose me to someone else illness like I need another medical issue other than the one I went there for. This was so negligent. And , that was not Dr/ patient privacy, everyone in that room got to hear his personal business. Kaiser should invest in new facilities, and not the one you have going on in the parking lot..otger facilities in another city, we need more doctors, more parking, and more facilities to handle the extreme overflow. Too many patients and not enough staff. There's NO FACILITY in between the Modesto and Fresno area, the valley is growing huge, and you DONT have enough room in this hospital to cover the amount of patients. Your building another building which won't cover it either, because you just took away tons of parking..Be smart kaiser. We need another Kaiser in between Fresno and Modesto.....you have kaisers everywhere. Kaiser is growing. You need to CATCH UP...And please respect patient/ doctor privacy. And protect other patients from getting sick from other patients. HORRIBLE Emergency department set up....

What a pathetic and honestly ridiculous system. We go in at 6:00am and are the only people in the ER. At 930 we are still waiting there, but now we have been placed in a room with another pt who is obviously ill, wrapped up in blankets bent over in a wheelchair with a barf bag at his mouth. We are just waiting to speak to a Dr about test results that arrived over 1 hour prior as confirmed by a personal email. I choose to step out of the room because I don't want to expose myself to being present and seeing the possibility of someone puking in front of us. One of the nurses walks by and says to me, you can go into the room. I explain the situation and kindly tell her I would rather not see the other patient puking into a bag. The nurse then tells me my choice is to leave to the waiting rm because as she uncleared articulates something about the hallway. I responded by telling her it's ridiculous to expect 2 separate patients with 2 obvious very different illnesses, one with a barf bag at his mouth, to share a room waiting for a Dr explanation and think that's OK. What a rude and not understanding nurse. This visit has been eye opening. Let's not even talk about the HIPAA violations going on here as the patients are herded down the hall...

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I had the worst experience of my life. I was sat in the waiting room for a very long time, while about 10 people who came in after me got called in before me. I eventually got to see Doctor Singh, who was great. However, they gave me a bunch of meds and placed me back in the general waiting room. A few minutes later, I either had a horrible panic attack or a side effect from one of the meds. I was uncontrollably vomiting, crying, and I was in a panic. I asked for help from the 3 nurses in the waiting room and I was told to sit back down by one and the other two just looked at each other and ignored me. I’ve never met such neglectful staff in a hospital before. My boyfriend rushed to the hospital to pick me up and take me back home. I tried calling to get info on the meds that they gave me, but they said they couldn’t give me any information since I left. It’s the next day and I am still feeling extremely sick and the side effects from whatever medicine they gave me have not went away. I feel like I need to go to another hospital but they have completely ruined any/all...
