Sourdough & Co. Dale Road — Restaurant in Modesto

This is NOT the same as other SOURDOUGH & co sandwiches! We ordered 3 sandwiches and ALL were wrong. Like a previous review the meats were all wrong. Their signature “brisket” sandwich barely had BBQ sauce and the meat was roast beef. Definitely not the brisket I’ve had in the exact same sandwich at other SOURDOUGH&co’s. And the other 2 were the French dip but we think it was possibly pastrami? See attached pics. We DID call and talk to manager before returning. She said to bring them back and they would “fix it”. But when my husband drove all the way back, they refused to remake them saying the sandwiches were correct. He even asked them to look at the pics on their own menu and see the meats don’t look remotely similar. They wouldn’t refund anything, (they did apologize on the phone but a different story when we got there!)They said he could purchase another sandwich. Even if you call before going it’s a waste of time. He couldn’t eat ‘pastrami’ and because of stuff on my sandwich I couldn’t give him whatever was on mine. Our daughter knew it wasn’t roast beef but said it was ok so ate hers. The soup is the only decent thing with a bread-bowl so far. Don’t risk...

The owners are horrible !! I was waiting for my food then seen one of the owners screaming at one of the younger employees and made her cry. The owner was yelling about how the employee was too slow when she was the one wasting time yelling at this young girl. She didn’t even have the courtesy to pull her to the back to talk to her in private this employee looked new and was definitely still in highschool also the food was disgusting. I do not understand why a grown woman would think it is socially acceptable to yell at a young girl. They should be pushing their employees to do better with encouragement and skill development. Sourdough & Co never disappoints when it comes to their sandwiches! The bread is always fresh, especially the sourdough—crusty on the outside and soft inside, just how it should be. I love how generous they are with the fillings, every bite is full of flavor. The veggies are crisp, the sauces are on point, and the combinations are well thought out.

My go-to is the Cholula Chicken Sandwich, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Their soups and salads are a perfect complement too.
