My fiancée & I enter the store inspired to start riding bikes again. We pass two team members conversing erratically who don’t say hi. We actually said hi to them. No response. As we’re looking around at the vast selection of repetitive bike editions, crickets chirp and birds flock as a ghost store scene presents itself obnoxiously. Behold!! - we find a button we can press to channel someone our way. I clicked the button and not long after a good 6 minutes or so, a nice gentleman greets our long sought after desire to find out more details about being able to finance. He didn’t seem too sure about the card details himself.. After he asked the manager about it, she kindly greeted us with slightly more info on the financing details, not truly entailing the specifics with some nervous energy upon her shoulders. I felt as if we were maybe speaking a foreign language though. Do thy not comprehend what might be their most important selling point.? Having worked in customer service for a good amount of years myself, the astonishing lack of knowledge on the process of just simply wanting to finance the bikes from the start.. ridiculous.
The whole fiasco was very unprofessional. As a person with clear credit history, they spoke things they shouldn’t have when it came to showcasing their credit card. It was very bitter. I believe in a more optimistic approach myself. Honestly, the gentleman that helped put our bikes together did show some effort in an extension of work to provide for the sale. Unfortunately that sale was wasted because of the inconvenience in poor team management. I blame this on the store’s leadership. The bike tech didn’t have the best selling points either. He didn’t make wanting to ride again fun. He mentioned something about how riding bikes this day in age is pointless. Maybe not his exact words but still not very empowering.
When at the checkout, I got approved for being able to finance. As the customer, I wasn’t explained on the process of the immense purchase. The clerk was quite non verbal and wasn’t very friendly. He didn’t seem comfortable with his ability to provide basic, efficient customer service.
Long story short the sales clerk impulsively clicked buttons and charged the new account. I wasn’t able to choose financing. It all happened too fast.
If only I would of been better educated on the process of financing there. No one knew enough about it, they didn’t care for helping through the checkout process either.
I asked to void everything. We walked out happier than...
Read moreBuyer Beware! This store plays the Bait and Switch game. I was just there to purchase a canopy that was clearly marked on the shelf as $54.99. When checking out the cashier told me it was $129.99. I immeiately asked for the manager and went to the display shelf. The manager said the canopy was in the wrong spot. I told them it was clearly in the correct spot because there were 4 others and no other price labels. The manager stated the labe was wrong. After the attempt to price gouge me by nearly 150%, I tdecideded to not purchase the item. It is obvious the sales associate and manager failed to see the illegality of the situation and made no effort to correct their mistake. I shop in this store often and am otherwise pleased with the service, but the blatant lack of integrity has me wondering if I have been taken advantage of in the past. It definatly makes me question if I need to make future I urchases...
Read moreOur boosters sold their Funraising4dollars coupon books as a fundraiser for the team but many of the people were denied using them even if the brand or product wasn't in the disclaimer on the coupon. The manager usually told the person that the entire list of exclusions is on the website. It made the parents and boosters look bad although most of the people treated buying the books as a donation. The problem is Dicks Sporting Goods got the donation not the kids when the boosters bought the booklets of coupons to sell as a fundraiser. Dicks will not be our teams go to at all for anything anymore. Shame on you for stealing...
