Tony's Nails — Local services in Monroe Township

They turned what was supposed to be a relaxing night with my mom into a disaster. As soon as I got there I showed the lady what I wanted on my nails, she said she could do it before we began. Then, in the middle of her painting my nails she said she couldn't do the colors that I wanted (pink metallic design on top of black) but it is common sense that pink metallic on black will work. So then she proceeded to keep insisting about 20 times to me that it would not work, and she was trying to make me feel stupid. Then, she tried to do it and she said "Oh it worked". I thought businesses were supposed to have "the customer is always right" mentality but this place does not. After that, she tried to do the design and it came out absolutely horrific. I just do not understand why she said she could do the design when she clearly could not. After I told her nicely that the design did not look like the picture I asked her if she could have someone else do the design. She then called the owner's wife over to come fix it, and needless to say she was very awful to me. When the owner's wife sat down to fix my nails she must've exceeded the time she was supposed to be scheduled that day because right in front of me and my mom she called someone (I'm assuming the owner) and yelled at whoever was on the phone saying that she needed to be payed over time for fixing the design on my nails. That was extremely unprofessional. The owner's wife did fix the design, but the entire time, she seemed very angry and was very rude about it. My thumb nail wasn't drying under the light so she yelled at me and said "Pay attention next time" assuming that I didn't put my nail under the light, but I made sure I did. I actually left with 9 nails that had clear polish on them, but when I left I noticed that she completely forgot to put clear polish on my thumb nail, so maybe she should pay attention next time. How do you not check all of your customer's nails before they leave? Also my mom left the nail salon with multiple bubbles in her nails, and the gel came off of her nails after one day. It is as if they do not even take pride in their work and they just want your money. I usually offer people some grace, because maybe they were just having a rough day, but after multiple bad experiences at this place, I figured I should warn other people...

My daughter brought me with her today to pamper us both. My pedicure was awesome for the very first time ever I always have problems when I go on my own, but my daughters not so good. One she is pregnant and two she was on her feet working all day all week and She paid for all of it to. The woman was way to fast rushed through her pedicure just didn't seem like she was enjoying it as much as I did, I even asked her if she was ok because I also could see she was rushing like why, but that seems to be how it goes everytime two people go in together one gets excellent pedicure pampering the other not so good. Start pairing up your best workers especially when two people are paying for the expensive ones. We got the most expensive with the misters and orange peals and all to. My daughters was not as nice as mine at all the fan on the floor was blowing the mister mist away from her legs the woman tried to turn it and seemed like Tony said leave it alone he really isn't as nice as he use to be. It's just business seems We walked out of there and my daughter was like gezz had I known she was going to not do the same as mine she wouldn't of paid that much money and her chair wasn't working either so there's another problem Really this is why I don't go here just for me. I stopped going awhile ago. Its a clean place for sure don't get me wrong there and they have great ratings, but that's all great and all, but what really matters is the relaxing and feeling pampered not rushed. Yes I'm sure I'll go back it just needs more exceptional service especially when we not only pay for the pedicure the most expensive one we tip the person to. I said what I said they are so busy these days that I'm sure it don't matter what I say here they will still make money cause us women want our nails and toes done not all of us will complain though but yes I will especially when my daughter is paying for me to. Being new to getting my nails done I was confused as to what my options were with nail types, pricing, designs etc. I conveyed this to the man who answered the phone when I made my appointment and who I assumed was the same person who “greeted” people who entered the salon. He was very impolite and made me feel as if I was being an annoyance to not only him but his staff when I showed him a picture of what I wanted done to my nails. He stated a certain area in which to look for the colors to choose from but at this point I still was not sure exactly what type of nails I would be getting and no one was going out of their way to explain the process to me. I actually had to ask another customer for help as to what I was looking at and what the differences were. After choosing a color and waiting in a very dirty station not being used, I was told there’s only one person working there who could do detailed designs and that I would have to come back another day because she was busy. I reminded the man at the front that I had called a day prior to schedule an appointment with someone but he claimed I was not specific in my details of what I wanted even though he was the one who was quick to hang up the phone on me in the first place. I also showed him a picture of what I wanted done when I first arrived and he never mentioned that he would not have someone there that could do it. The experience was more than terrible and if I could give this location negative stars I would! I will not go back to this location and I would not recommend this salon for anyone. Oh and I also was never told the reason for the overall price and was never asked if I was happy with the outcome or the service. This has been one of the worst experiences I have had in customer service as a whole. I urge anyone considering this location to venture...
