It was clean and it was well-lit and there was an obvious security presence there which was welcome. I don't have anything bad to say about my visit to Pecanland Mall for the first time in probably five or six years except that it looks quite different every time I go there, and not necessarily in a good way... Malls are just dying a slow death across the country. I did have some pleasant conversations with some of the kiosk vendors, those selling overpriced CZ encrusted terribly awful looking watches but some of their products were okay I suppose for certain situations and the people were very nice. The food court is a ghost of what it used to be having only maybe 6-8 different places. It's kind of sad in a way that they couldn't hold onto a McDonald's or Taco Bell... I'm not sure if it matters but it seems like that is some sort of indicator of the level of business they must get out there. I couldn't care less about McDonald's because there were superior choices, Cane's and Chick-fil-A, but I was disappointed there was no Taco Bell or, as far as I could tell, any place that sells similar food because I find burritos and the like to be quite handy foods to eat while walking along if you are in a hurry to make your purchases and leave again...
Read moreWas currently visiting the mall with my son who has tourettes. While there he has a tendency to put his hood on from his hoodie. He was stopped multiple times by the same security officer and told he couldn't wear his hood. After leaving from asking my son to remove his hood the officer left and walked right past 2 other kids wearing hoods walking around without parents. The officer did not stop or say anything to these other kids. (The officer and the other children are of a different ethnicity than me and my son). When I approached the officer and said something to him about it he told me that he didn't say anything to the other children because their hoodies were red and not black and that people wearing black hoodies with their hoods on is offensive and against the code of conduct with the mall. I told him that didn't make any sense and that he needed to correct the situation and say something to the other children and I turned to walk out of the mall. As i was walking out this mall security guard yelled out to me "that's what I thought you better leave". This place is an absolute joke and is one of the worst places...
Read moreI love their food but the Monroe,LA location can work on their customer service! I don’t mind waiting but when everyone running around like chickens with no heads then there is a problem! I ordered my food and was told after I ordered that they were low on fries! So do I get my wings without fries after I just paid $34 on food? Very confused and I told the cashier I had exact change and he still proceeded to pay for my food and did not wait on me to give him the correct change ! And they do not respect each other what so ever . The 10 minutes I waited to order showed me that they are disrespectful to one another . One lady rolled her eyes at another coworker and then one guy fully ignored the other why he was asking a question. Horrible service...
