Southern Escape Room — Local services in Monroe

I surprised my daughters with a trip to The Southern Escape Room in Monroe, Louisiana to celebrate our youngest’s 18th birthday since this is something she’s been wanting to do for a few years. The room I chose was well thought out, interesting and a lot of fun. It was easy to really get into the plot and the props were cool. It was definitely challenging and we had fun working together to piece the clues together. This was our first Escape Room and we can’t wait to try some of the others scenarios they’ve created. I definitely recommend trying your luck at finding your way out of the various rooms they have available, it’s a memorable experience you’ll never forget !! I should have posted this review a few months ago. My family made a last minute decision to try one of the escape rooms on my last day home for Christmas vacation. We randomly picked one based on the description, which ended up being one of the harder rooms. We were concerned about the kids (10 & 11) in our group enjoying it, but the staff assured us it would be fine. We had an amazing time! The kids loved going around, finding the clues, and solving the puzzles. The staff was great and, since we weren't trying to set any records, helped us a few times before we even asked when we looked frustrated. I think this will definitely become a regular event...

Upon arrival, as a first timer, I was really confused. Our group was promptly attended to according to our reservation time. The whole idea I absolutely find intriguing. They provide a good precourse to what you are about to engage in. There were a couple of item failures that hindered our over all results. There is someone watching the whole time, so I know they knew and was disappointed at how nothing was done to compensate for it. We were literally seconds from complete at the end. Something for the items breaking on us mid game would have been nice. For the price, it's not something I'll be doing very often. But it's pretty fun to just go and...
