Don Tomas Mexican grill — Restaurant in Monroe

If I could give negative stars I would. I've never met staff more rude. I called an order in & repeated what I wanted 3 times, it was repeated back to me twice. I was using an old menu, but also told them what I wanted, not just the number.....3

I originally came here because they had the highest ranking in Monroe, and you;ll soon discover that rating do matter. Foods great. Service is profesional, and fast, but that's not why I am here. I am here today because I had an experience with this restraunt. This was a hot spring day. I didn't want to carry a wallet because I was wearing shorts, so I had my bills unorganized. I took out my cash, and dropped $100. Left the restraunt. That night, the restraunt called me but I didn't pick up. The next day, they called me again, and asked me if I lost money. I went back to the restraunt to get the money. They told me they couldn't figure out who dropped the cash, and had to check the cameras to find out. Long story short, they tracked me down, and gave me my money back. So what I am trying to say here is, support this business because they are honest. I am a pesemistic person, and didn't think people would give money back they found, but Don Tomas proved me wrong, and changed the way I see the world. Final note. Amazing Mexican restaurant with authentic food and great service! It's a little hole in the wall place but it's worth the wait if it's packed. So many different items to choose from on the menu and a variety of different types of dishes. I've looked all over Monroe for shrimp tacos that satisfy the picky eater that I am and how specific I like my shrimp tacos. They're amazing at Don Tomas and I've finally found somewhere that makes them perfectly! Everything else I've tried there is amazing as well. And they have a delicious horchata drink that's a must try! Great for kids! A cinnamony milky delight! If you go try the place out, ask for Connor to be your server! He's our favorite and always provides excellent service! Tell him Tabby and Sadie recommended him as a server! 😀 Prices are also very decent and cheaper than most other Mexican restaurants I've been to, and the kids menu has several items on it as well rather than just the customary 3 or so items to choose from that most restaurants offer. 5 out of 5...
