I went to kohl's today, I returned the item and customer service said my $10 cash reward would no longer be available, which I understand. So I folded it up and gave the cashier another part of the reward paper which if purchasing $25 will take $10off discount. She turned the piece of paper I had folded over to scan and said, "You returned the item," then looked at me. Then said that the cash reward must be cancelled, and continued, "I don't think another part can be used , but I'll try scanning it."
Afterwards she said it didn't work. Then read everything on it to say it worked august 29. I was ok and paid. After that, she continued to explain that I didn't get the cash reward because I returned the item and The discount is valid for the next three days. This isn't the first time I've talked to her. I talked 2-3 times about promotion discount. and felt like I was being accused of being at fault even though I didn't do anything wrong. I came with my son and asked him: This woman doesn't use profanity, but I always feel bad about her response to questions and service. Did I just imagine it? My son said no. He feel the same thing. Today, I had a store return. The return was completed before she told me that it was back on my card. Unfortunately, the item was a gift and I needed store credit to size up the item. Ten minutes later, someone was able to make the correction and handed me store credit and ~$5 Kohls cash. Isn't that just store credit?? Idk. Anyways, they didn't have the item I needed so I found something else.
I was the fourth person in line with two cashiers. About 20 minutes later, I made it to the cashier. I used my store credit but the Kohl's cash didn't work and the cashier didn't know what to do about it. She acted very accusatory like it was my fault. I went ahead with my purchase because the line was 10+ people deep at this point.

Before you continue reading this review you should know that I dont go to Khols often so I can not say with certainty that the customer service here is always the same, but from what I experienced today I can't say that I will be returning soon. As soon as I entered Khols I made my way straight to the customer service desk which is inconveniently located in the far back of the store. I waited for service for about ten minutes before anyone cared enough to assist me. Although the transition went smoothly it seems as though they are understaffed which made my visit there unpleasant.
