I was so excited to try this AƧaĆ location, so much so I drove from Pasadena bypassing a lot of other places. The young man that took my order was nice, but spoke so low I was struggling to hear him. Prices on the menu is inconsistent. $1 more on the screen and $1 less on the register counter. Thereās so many options and everything sounded so good so it took me some time to choose. The line started to form so I decided on the Buttah Lova. When the girl started making my bowl (mind you itās my very first time and they have a lot of options. I was excited!) I told her oh I want some coconut base with my AƧaĆ, I didnāt realize yāall had that! She responded saying that Iād have to change my order at the register because itās a custom bowl. I said itās no price difference so Iām confused. She repeated that it was a custom bowl. I said okay just forget it then, she says Iāll put it this time but Iām letting you know itās a custom bowl. At that point all excitement left and I was irritated because uh?! Why Iām I going back and forth with you over something I paid for and have to be the one to eat it? AND there was no price difference! She continues making my bowl and I realized that regular coconut flakes and almonds go on the Buttah Lova I didnāt want that so I told her extra toasted coconut flakes and no regular and no almonds. She rolled her eyes and said is there anything else you donāt want? I said yup no chocolate drizzle. When she finished she put a lid on my bowl and sat it on the counter and walked away. Didnāt ask if I wanted a bag, napkins were no where to be found, and I grabbed my own spoon. I asked for napkins and she had a problem with that as well, I left! Let me tell you how the bowl wasnāt even good. Lacked flavor and sweetness altogether. Iād most likely never return. Customer service is a big deal for me and I donāt want to feel like I have to argue with someone to have my food prepared the way Iād like especially when thatās literally the concept of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis post is for locals to be aware of the trap set up directly above Tru Bowl. The business said they were unaware and the property manager responded and said it's humanely trapped but a someone took the trap down and 3 babies and 2 adult pigeons were in there with no food or water and who knows for how long. The person put a water bowl in and the babies drank the water so fast. They were all skinny. The water tower that was found in there was completely dry.
Solution: Remove the short wooden platform so that no pigeons hang out there instead of leaving a trap up there where pigeons still hang out anyways. Were they going to trap all pigeons in the area? And then do what with them? Basically let them die of thirst and starvation?
Please report to Palomacy Facebook group if you see the trap up there again so someone in the group can help the babies. They might place more traps again.

Decided to grab a quick smoothie from this location since I usually go to the Claremont one. I placed a mobile order through their app, but when I arrived, the drink wasnāt readyāit was just sitting there on the printer. The staff said they had just received it, which was confusing.
I told them no worries, Iāll wait. But when my smoothie was finally handed to me, I politely said thank youāand the staff member didnāt even acknowledge me. She turned her face and walked away. š¤
š Overall, the customer service was cold and unwelcoming. Iāll be sticking to my usual Claremont location, where Iāve always had a better experience.
šNot coming back here again. ā Save your timeāgo where youāre...
