Days into recovering from major oral surgery of 5 teeth extractions and a bone graft I was prescribed emergency pain medication via my oral surgeon as other alternative pain relief methods were ineffective.
I found this CVS pharmacy open until 10 PM and my doctor called around 9:17 PM.
I get to the pharmacy within minutes after my surgeon confirms.
Keep in mind I'm a hot mess express of pain and swollen. I was just so relieved to be getting help.
HOWEVER; while I was standing at the pharmacy window, I kept hearing two of the females behind the counter repeating, "Can't they just take advil." On repeat they were saying this....as they were filling a script.
Proceeding this...is when they walked over to where I was....
I realized it was MY* prescription for Tylenol with Codine that was being handed to the cashier, and the one they were commenting on.
So, whether this was bad timing, a misunderstanding...or actually wait.....there is NO EXCUSE for the blatant IGNORANCE I heard.
"Can't they take Advil?"
No comments should be being made about any prescription behind that counter at all!
I'm standing there feeling like a vice grip has the right side of my face, so excited for physical relief, but instead of just getting "my advanced advil" (according to the ignorant wads behind the counter) I got a huge dose of being absolutely disgusted, enraged, aggravated, and disappointed.
So.... if someone gets in trouble or hopefully* fired from this, just remember.... what you kept saying when I was standing there... in pain "Can't you just take some advil for that?"
I was looking for medical relief...not to be emotionally aggravated.
HONESTLY, don't plan on returning to ANY CVS in the near future.
Best wishes to the general or regional manager who I hope has a capability of installing better ethics or common sense into...
Read moreI truly don't understand how this pharmacy is still in business. They aren't pharmaceutical and judging from the reviews I'm not the only one who is truly disappointed and frustrated with this place. Got scripts sent over from the ER, when I get there they tell me my prescriptions are on hold the person in the drive-thru insisted I had to come inside to find out why. I'm just coming out the ER, not feeling well and just want my meds and lay down. Anyhow, I ended up going inside and I was told I had to call my insurance because CVS put my rxs on hold due to supposedly having another insurance which is bullcrap. I politely said no thanks I'll go somewhere else they ALWAYS give people issues with their meds, it's ridiculous! I went to Grove Pharmacy and got my scripts filled with no problem at all. Also my uncle has been going through multiple surgeries and every time he has to pick up his pain meds it's ALWAYS an issue. They say it's in back order for months, which is a lie. My uncle's worker's comp has to call so they can give him his meds and all of a sudden they have it ready the next day. It's the same every time, Why do they deny people their meds, it's just not right. How are they getting...
Read moreHad a horrible experience here (the Claremont location) on 10/20/21. I wanted to wait for a cashier, as I have anxiety and the self checkout never works correctly for me, especially when using extra bucks or other cvs coupons. To start, there was someone who approached me he was wearing some sort of flannel shirt, not a cvs uniform, in which I couldn’t tell that he worked there, but he told me to use the shelf checkout machines, where I again said no I will wait for a cashier. Next, an extremely rude man grabs my cart and pushes it so shelf check out and I explain that i’d rather wait for a cashier. He says no and takes the items out of my cart scanning them, I was planning on doing two transactions one for myself and one for my sister - the man was so mean to me that I actually started crying and I had to leave the store. I would avoid this CVS at all costs, it’s not hard to treat customers with kindness and this man shouldn’t be working in customer service. I asked another employee what the man’s name was and she believes it...
