Wow... I am just completely shocked how I was just treated by this place. My family and I are loyal customers and I'm so upset I'm shaking right now... We ordered through Uber eats tonight because they had the buy one get one offer like they normally do. However, when the big brown bag stapled shut showed up we only had one order of rigatoni (we did have everything else we ordered but just missing the other rigatoni entree). I called this place and explained the issue and then they put me on with the almighty "General Manager"... The almighty "General Manager" went on to tell me I'm a liar and that she packaged the order herself and then hung up on me. I called back 3 more times to try to explain and ask if she stapled the bag or did Uber and all calls went to voicemail. On the 4th call she answered and knew exactly who I was (so I guess they have caller ID) and said I'm a liar again and what not. I said "Ma'am please just let me say something, it's not about the money at all it's about the principle. Not only did you charge me double for the buy one get one but you only gave me one entree." She went off again about how it's not her fault and she's been packing bags for years yada yada yada and I should call uber because it's their problem not hers. How the hell do you people have a woman like this as your GENERAL MANAGER? It's freaking pasta and like I told her multiple times it's not about the money. You guys just lost alot of business. Fire your GM.
**Also I know Montclair Pasta company is just your fake name Palazzo...
Read moreThe ownership seems not to care about the quality of the food or the customers.
The ownership threatens and makes comments about staff and coustomers. If you don't believe me ask around other owners know what the owner says behind coustomers backs.
The food is unsafe to eat and usually frozen again and some of the deserts you can get cheaper from Gencarelli's Bakery in bloomfield nj. Dont eat there. They do the same in wings and things and palazzo pasta company. The quality is not up to par. And workers are under paid and over worked.
Food is poorly handled.
They pre cook penne and wash it so it does not stick together.
Most ravioli come in frozen. And the pasta is dry pasta not fresh.
Lobster is small from south america 4oz tails is one step away from shrimp.
Food is delivered in a unrefrigerated suv from restaurant Depot. Especially unsafe in the summer time.
The focaccia some times from the other night
This is the same at palazzo pasta company and wings and things that they own at 33 market st in Montclair.
And these services like Uber and door dash to deliver food is not very safe. I know some people use other people to log in on their phones and deliver food to make money because they can't get a job because they don't have work papers or they have a felony. So they log in under another name and that person gets the money and gives it to him or her. So you don't know who is coming to your door in most cases. So be careful.
I can't believe they think they are right...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant—not because of the food, but because of how they treat people. When I went to pick up my order, I witnessed the staff asking delivery drivers to wait outside in the pouring rain.
It was heartbreaking to see hardworking men and women—who are out there earning an honest living—left standing in the cold and wet weather with no shelter, while the staff inside remained comfortable and dry. This is not just about customer service, it’s about basic humanity, respect, and the dignity of labor.
Delivery workers make it possible for restaurants like this to thrive. The least they deserve is a bit of kindness and respect—something as simple as allowing them to wait inside for a few minutes until the order is ready.
Food might fill the stomach, but the way a business treats people shows its true character. Unfortunately, this experience left me with a bitter taste, and I will not be supporting a place that cannot show compassion toward the very people helping their business succeed.
"You mentioned customers being rude as a reason for asking delivery drivers to wait outside. On the day I witnessed this, there were only 2 people sitting quietly waiting for their orders. Some delivery workers were on bikes—making it impractical to wait in a car. Given these circumstances, asking them to wait outside in the pouring rain seemed unnecessary and lacking in compassion toward hardworking...
