Long overdue for this review. This is the best gourmet pizza I have ever had and one of the best overall pizzas in North Jersey (the pizza capital of the world, might I add).

The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect for an upscale pizza restaurant - clean and cozy with tables and counter seating; tasteful decorations and the brick oven adds to the charm.

For an appetizer, I had the artichoke hearts and broccoli rabe - the absolute best I have had of either. Didn’t need a knife to cut any of it. The combinations of spices and a dab of olive oil made this dish an instant favorite.

The pizza is handmade and cooked slowly to perfection. Every few minutes it’s rotated and check on. I had no doubts the crust would not be brunt the way they care for m it. And the two owners make everything and are willing to engage in conversation while they are working. The flavors, the spices, the oil, the cheese, the sauce,… everything is absolutely fantastic and freshly made. It’s clear the owners are passionate about their creations and want others to enjoy it.

I came from close to an hour and a half to check this place out, a recommendation of a co-worker… all the way from Southern Ocean County. It was well worth the drive and I will be there more frequently. Hoping to eat everything off the menu by the end of the year....

I am not exaggerating this is the best place you can ever eat wood-oven pizza. I had to close my eyes while eating it so I can just taste the pizza without any distractions. All I can say about it is that is a master piece, they literally mastered their craft and they are still trying to achieve higher quality every time they make it. The crust was so thin and the edges so crispy. I went already twice and definitely going there at least once a month to try new recipes. They also make great healthy salads and delicious deserts. The place is only open Thursday Friday and Saturdays , they do not accept walk-in all reservation are made through Open Table and they have already solid 2 to 3 moths reservation. There is no delivery and no order pick up, reservations only. They insist on keeping it this way so they have time to focus on their clients and give them quality service and the best dinning experience. It’s definitely by far my favorite restaurant in Montclair. I would give them more than 5 stars if I...

I am writing this review to compare my recent experience with my last visit four years ago. Back then, I lived in Montclair and frequently came to this place, where I was served by a somewhat grumpy but incredibly skilled guy named Tommaso. During that time, I had the best pizza and tiramisu of my life.

I know the restaurant was closed for a while and has since reopened, but the entire staff has changed. My reservation was for 8:15 PM, but my pizza didn’t arrive until 9:30 PM. The chef looked exhausted, as if he were on the verge of falling asleep. The pizza dough was acceptable, but the sauces and toppings were overly greasy, which might upset your stomach if you eat late at night.

As for the tiramisu, I hate to say it, but it was a disaster. I would have likely given this place five stars if I hadn’t had such a wonderful experience here before. It’s disappointing to see the change. However, I feel fortunate to have been served by my little but big-hearted friend Tommaso. I will never forget...
