Edited for clarity and because I was threatened with legal action for my reviews. On 5/28/25, I purchased 2 tickets for $72.40 for a summer solstice yoga class through this studioās website. On 6/20/25, I attended the event. My friend and I entered through the back door from the parking lot and were not told where to go or where to sign in. Our instructor Nic, noticed us in the hallway and showed us where to gather our supplies. Class was good and Nic was great.
After class, my friend Ruth was speaking with a gentleman at the front desk. He was asking for her information and trying to charge her for another ticket. We explained that I had already purchased the 2 tickets and showed him the email receipt. We explained that Alex, who I had registered online could not attend last minute so Ruth replaced her. He told us it was ok and that we could go. We would not have left if he told us it was not ok to leave.
The next day, I checked my bank account and saw a charge from JaiPure for $36.35. I disputed this with the bank immediately as I assumed it was a mistake. On 7/3/25, I received an email from the studio asking why I disputed the charge. I explained the situation with Ruth and confirmed Alex did not attend. This email was ignored and the dispute was denied.
I emailed repeatedly after that requesting a refund to my card and explaining that we were told we could leave the night of the event. The studio refused to hear it. After weeks of arguing, they offered a credit to the studio. I told them this was not acceptable and that I wanted a refund as only 2 people attended the event and 2 tickets had already been paid for. I also argued that my card shouldnāt have been on file or used without permission.
On 7/30/25, more than a month after the event, my card was refunded $35 (not $36.35). This was a terrible, stressful, time consuming experience that could have been completely avoided if the studio took responsibility for their employee...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Jaipure. I have been doing Yoga for about 10 years and always look for a yoga studio wherever I go. After my move to Montclair, this studio was the first one I discovered and I since fell in love with it. It has been my home away from home. I since have become a Karma Yogi there and just finished my Basic Teacher Training. There are many things I love about Jaipure and itās hard for me to list them all. Most importantly, Jaipure welcomes everyone irrespective of the level of training, race, socioeconomic status, and beliefs. There is something for beginners as well as advanced yogis. There is Yogic philosophy and intense physical training. There is infrared and non- heated classes. There is Iyengar yoga and Mindful Vinyasa flow. Marcie and Loryn the owners are just amazing yogis and role models. There is a real sense of community here. The teachers are hands down amazing, all in their different way. I am incredibly grateful to have this place so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJaipure Yoga has become not only my home studio, but a sanctuary for me. The teachers are phenomenal and the owners brought together not only a yoga studio, but also a community. The classes they offer are varied and include practices such as vinyasa, Iyengar, Kundalini, sound immersion's and yoga Nidra, which are less common to find amongst a typical yoga studio. I also love the karma yogi program and that the studio is open all day - even in between classes. Often studio's close when there's not a session going on, but Jaipure was open when I first walked-in without knowing the schedule. The karma yogi even remembered me weeks later when I saw her again! Through Jaipure I was introduced to a deeper level of yoga, have made beautiful friendships and will always cherish what Loryn & Marcie brought...
