Dillard's Clearance Center — Local services in Montgomery

I shopped here back in the day from 2017 to the present. Im used to a different type of treatment. Firstly the quality of the brands and clothing has dramatically changed. used to be higher quality clothing and now stuff is cheaper quality like rainbow. Even SHEIN and Fashion Nova have better quality clothing compared to Dillards now. thats sad they are ripping people off and the people haven't noticed it yet. Newer customers wont know they had better stuff. They used to have ladies dresses on sale for $10 and sometimes $7, a wider selection of shoes we're usually always on sale or had something going for it now its select styles and they are usually the ugly ones. Again, I still like the store, I don't shop as much due to the changes in quality of the clothing and sales prices. They are trying to be Nordstrom Rack but with lesser quality material. I just miss the days when the sales were better, and the quality of the clothing and its material matched the full retail price. But things are good for the men though its the opposite now. I travelled almost 3 hours to get to this store as we use to have one in the city I currently live in. I was so excited to shop here again but very disappointed that I did not get to buy as much as I had hoped totbuy. My husband and I became so tired from having to carry clothes in our hands or in those useless shopping bags they give you. For a clearance store surely the objective of the owners should be to encourage shoppers to buy as much as possible (business 101). However, because there are no carts, it's very easy to just become totally overwhelmed and discouraged because you have to carry everything you are considering buying around the store until you make up your mind( this is especially true after a long road trip where you legs and back are aching from sitting down for hours). Will I go back? Not sure anymore. If you like discount shopping, Bargain Hunt and Dirt cheap has carts so you have you don't have break your back while shopping. They may not be as high end as Dillard's Clearance but they clearly get what it takes to keep a customer in their stores and comfortable...

Hey! I was shopping on Saturday around 2PM and had a few items in my cart. As Im heading to checkout theres a few items we decided not to purchase to we put them back on the rack. As Im at checkout a bald headed lady comes up to me and says excuse me miss. And I wasnt sure if she was talking to me when she then proceeded to scream at my for putting the clothes on the racks and demanded I bring them to the front and said they dont do that here. I was already holding my sisters items and couldnt carry the ones I didnt want and my sisters cart as well as my own. As she was in the restroom But I did put them on racks instead of laying them down. When I then brought them up front as she screamed and insisted I do. Then the lady at the counter complained to me then that I brought the items up and said she didnt want to fool with putting them away and asked me to take the hangers off the clothes I was purchasing which I feel is their job.
