Dong-A Korean Market makes fresh kimchi every Tuesday — and we’re talking the kind that makes you want to eat a whole bowl of rice on the spot. On Fridays and Saturdays, they roll out fresh gimbap, triangle gimbap, and japchae that taste like they came straight from a Korean mom’s kitchen.
The store is super clean and well-organized — seriously, even instant noodles seem to stand in neat little lines like they’re in military training. You can actually find what you’re looking for without doing laps around the store.
The owner and staff are always warm and welcoming. Ask them how to cook a Korean dish, and next thing you know, you’re getting a full-on cooking tutorial in the snack aisle. Bonus: you’ll walk out feeling like you’ve leveled up in Korean home cooking.
They also carry tons of trendy Korean products — from viral snacks to K-beauty goodies. And if something isn’t in stock? Just let them know! There’s a good chance it’ll show up a few weeks later like it heard you talking.

Read moreThis is The Best place to find FRESH kimchi!! I love the kimchi here. Radish kimchi, cucumber kimchi, original Napa cabbage kimchi… you name it! It’s made fresh every week! And the lady that owns the market is the sweetest lady! If you are like me and not familiar with Korean cuisine, but want to learn… she is so so willing to help you find what you need there!! Thank you DongA Korean Market for helping me with my food obsessions!! I love your kimchi! They also have a rather large wall filled to the brim with different ramen.
I’ve come back to my review to add:
I came into the store today and went straight to the counter to ask for help. The owner, was more than happy to help me. I showed her a reel on IG that I found that I wanted to try to make the recipe of. She knew exactly what I needed and took me all over the store to get the ingredients. I have attached the photo of my very first Korean Toppoki. It came out AMAZING!! Can’t recommend this...
Read moreLove this store along with one other we routinely shop for meat and products and produce you can only find at markets like this. They have huge ranges of dumplings soups every spice and soup base even a huge selection of Mexican foods and ingredients available and prices are very very good. Way better than Amazon pricing even on most things especially the trending bullduk noodles in many many flavors. Only down side is that it can get a little crowded certain days but even then checkout lines go very quickly. Highly recommend coming giving it a shot if you've never been in an Asian market and try some new fruit veg and find some delicious frozen treats from mochi to fruit ice creams you won't find...
