I took my prescriptions elsewhere!
This Walgreens pharmacy has been consistently disappointing. Within just two days of filling a prescription, I get calls saying that if I don’t pick it up “immediately,” it will be put back on the shelf—without ever defining what “immediately” even means. When I try to call for clarification, I sit through long hold times, get transferred, and have even been disconnected (sometimes it feels intentional). When I finally reach someone, the conversation is miserable. I’ve asked why, within only two days of requesting a refill, I get these live calls. Since I work during the day, I can’t answer, and the voicemail is always the same script: “Pick up your prescription immediately or we’ll return it to the shelf.” But when I press the staff about this, I’m told flatly, “You have 10 days, ma’am. I don’t know what the automated system does.” That contradiction just highlights how little effort is made to provide clarity or care for patients.
When my dosage changes, instead of recognizing the new prescription makes the old one irrelevant, I get confusing messages that my prescriptions aren’t approved. It’s sloppy, and it causes unnecessary stress.
Every time I call, it’s at least 12 minutes before I reach someone—then I’m put on hold again. And when staff finally get on the line, they often sound annoyed that I dared to call at all. That attitude also carries over in person. Just today, when I picked up my medication right before closing, the cashier acted visibly irritated that she had to help me. I told her “thank you, have a great day,” and she blatantly ignored me.
This isn’t an isolated bad day—it’s a pattern of rudeness, poor communication, and lack of basic professionalism. Clearly, Walgreens does not want my business. Effective immediately, I have transferred all of my prescriptions to a new pharmacy.
I challenge Walgreens to actually care enough to reach out with a solution for their ongoing lack of professionalism, customer service, and basic respect...
Read moreI've never had a good experience here. The pharmacy closes at random without notice. Prescriptions are never ready after confirming they're available to be picked up. Several dropped calls after waiting on hold forever, only to he placed back on hold and have the call dropped, again. They've billed my insurance without me picking up my prescription and argued with me that my prescription wouldn't be covered because it's already been billed. I explained that it should be covered because I never picked up said prescription, I had to call my insurance company on behalf of Walgreens numerous times due to billing issues steming from them billing before I picked up the script and they're saying it's been picked up already, that I could have picked it up from another pharmacy and they couldn't fill my script. However, I was able to get the problem corrected by contacting my insurance company. They pharmacist and techs are rude. I will never go back here again. I do not recommend this location for prescriptions. I recently was prescribed cough meds, and they never bothered filling them. They did however fill my other scripts, and when I asked about the cough meds they said they didn't fill it because they're running low. I'm like, but I need it. She responded with, we can fill it but it will be a bit. So, they weren't going to fill a script unless I specifically called and requested it be filled due to shortage. I should have have the script yesterday, I called today and they told me it would he ready by 2. I got there at 2 and they told me to come back in a few hours. This place needs an intervention on customer service and overall...
Read moreI dont care for this Walgreens much. The pharmacy is ok but takes soooo long to get a refill. I like to keep it local with local pharmacies when i can but sometimes they are not available as their hours are more limited. If you drop off your medicine at the drive through they will tell you two hours till its ready but if you go in the store they will tell you 15 min. I asked them soooo I could drop it off inside and leave saying ill be back in 15 min, but yet if i drop it off at the drive through its going to be two hours? Makes no sense to me. If they dont respect the drive through customers as much as the customer inside then whats the point of ease and connivence of a drive through that they like to promote? When I asked them that they really didnt have a response. Can you really track the people that come in here drop it off and say they will be back in 15 when they dont really show up till two days later? But somehow that person who came in got priority. Doesnt quite make sense in my brain but then the people that you actually deal with are techs not actual pharmacist, that means high school diploma. The pharmacist are smart they stay in the back and dont deal with angry customers who are wanting their "pills" NOW! that insurance or the narcotic database has declined or flagged. :) Cant imagine having their job, im sure its extremely stressful. Kudos to you all. Once you learn their system you just know that whatever you drop off, isnt a medicine that you need immediately. Otherwise you wont get your Coumadin on time and you'll die from a...
