Where do I start? You can thank your administrative team, including the extremely rude front desk receptionist (a middle-aged woman with short hair) for this what should be zero star review. The lack of empathy and basic human decency in how my father was treated at the Mooresville office is astounding. He was given the run around for days trying to get ahold of someone about a simple and fair question regarding a procedure for my disabled mother, who JUST found out she has cancer a week earlier. With the procedure being only a few days away and no luck talking to anybody over the phone (after spending HOURS trying to get in touch with someone but all they did was forward him off because they didn't want to deal with it), he went to the office to try to talk to someone in person.
He already knew to ask for the manager, Marcy, when he got there based on what someone else instructed. Upon his arrival, he asked the front desk receptionist if he could see this manager, and she immediately copped an attitude with him with the response, "And who are you?" With a full attitude and zero professionalism. She does eventually go to the back "to get the manager" and comes back and says that he can’t see her because "you’ve already been told what you need to know by someone who called you earlier today” - which DID NOT HAPPEN. So, now they are calling him a liar - why would he lie about that?! Why would he waste his time driving 45 minutes to this office office if he had already talked to someone?! Make it make sense, please. When he gets a bit frustrated and confused after being called a liar, and tries to explain, this woman would not hear another word and THREATENS TO CALL THE POLICE ON HIM IF HE DOESN’T IMMEDIATELY LEAVE. I have no words. I have never seen this lack of professional in a medical practice.
My parents just found out some of the worst news of their lives and my dad gets threatened with the police. Oh! And the business manager proceeds to call my dad right when he leaves and gets on the road - so, the receptionist couldn’t have simply told him that she was busy and would call him soon and instead threatens him?! All I have to say is, this type of treatment is unacceptable of your PATIENTS. Based on other reviews and my parent’s experience, it sounds like the administrative staff is forgetting where they work and need some basic training in how to treat people with empathy, especially when they are patients in a medical setting. He eventually got a call from another regional manager who was all "shocked" that he still hadn't received a call from their doctor - but, they are not going to do anything, because lets be real, they don't care. Zero...
Read moreThe Mooresville office set the standard for how all practices and facilities should operate! The first impression of the office is intimate, clean and welcoming. As I prepared for my procedure, nurse Elizabeth escorted me into a private room for medical questioning which portrayed a standard of dignity and privacy for me as a patient. She was calm, understanding and supportive through the entire process. My privacy and dignity was maintained through the procedure as she explained what to expect, offered a dressing gown and a warm blanket! Yes, it was actually WARMED up prior to my arrival! This small gesture exuded compassion. Elizabeth and I chatted as I prepared for my procedure and connected on several topics. At no point did I feel rushed or uncared for. Her smile, intellect and casual conversation was enjoyable and soothing. A second nurse, Amanda, came to assist with the IV and kept me at ease with her smile and comforting demeanor. In the exam room, I was greeted by Dr. Caroline Bennett, nurses Brett, Shawn and Meredith. All the staff were reassuring, welcoming and pleasant. They explained all aspects of the procedure and ensured my comfort. I would recommend Charlotte Gastroenterology in Moorseville to anyone who requires their services. A heartfelt and warm thank you to all the medical staff...
Read moreThe receptionist was amazing. I had to wait for my husband to have his procedure and my 4 month old daughter was with me. She was so understanding. She provided me hot water to warm my daughter's milk and set a room up for me so I could change her since there is no changing table. Just very kind and helpful.
Dr. Ryan was able to get my husband treated and gave me a quick update.
The office was very organized. They sent great clear instructions on what needed to be done before the procedure. Gave examples of what foods were allowed etc. They were great in giving quotes on the procedure, dr office, anesthesia, and polyp removal cost. Other places I called wouldn't even give me a quote, which to me is sad bc how are we able to shop around? It's nice to know to get an idea of what something may cost around so we can be prepared.
Only complaint is that the anesthesiologist could have been a little bit more friendly and patient. This is a very stressful time, having previous history of colon cancer and having to go through this whole prep can take a...
