Wow, where do I begin? I was referred to Dr. Gish due to my Nexplanon birth control moving throughout my arm and becoming veey deeply embedded. Dr. Gish was in fact the 3rd doctor to see me about this very stressful situation, so by the time I got to him, I was honestly fed up with everything!
From the moment that I walked into the reception area, I was greated warmly. I was the last patient of the day but you'd never know that by the demeanor of the receptionist. She was very cheerful, welcoming, and helpful.
Dr. Gish and his staff were absolutely phenomenal! I was preparing to literally have this product "fished" out of my arm and was petrified, but the doctor and his two assistants (I wish I knew their names.) had me laughing the whole time! Yes, even during the procedure! They 100% made this very grim issue very bearable for me. Dr. Gish is quite possibly one of the funniest doctors that I have visited and could easily do stand-up lol. More importantly than that, he very carefully surgically removed the Nexplanon out of my arm, after months of me trying to have it removed. He and his staff were very knowledgeable and careful with the procedure and answered all of my questions. They were just as excited as I was when the Nexplanon was finally located and removed.
The entire office was genuinely invested in me leaving that office satisfied and I absolutely did. My husband and I thank you guys so much. This was a long and stressful journey that is now over and we appreciate you! I would refer this office to anyone I know.

Read moreI am heartbroken with my husband's gall bladder surgery. Dr Gish had operated on him prior to the Nov 2021 surgery and informed us that he had severe scar tissue and adhesion. Prior to his Gall bladder surgery I asked Dr. Gish if the scar tissue would be an issue. He stated it would not and he did not anticipate a problem./ LAPROSCOPIC WAS THE STANDARD. Well, There were complications! 7 hours later my husband came out of surgery. The scar tissue was a problem!! His small and large bowel had been punctured when the trocars were inserted for the laproscopy and the surgery was converted to an open procedure. Two sections of small intestine were removed and a right hemicolectomy performed. He has been unable to eat and suffered daily with pain, nausea and vomiting. His weight dropped to 119 pounds from 162. He had to take a leave of absence from his job. He is now on TPN (IV nutrition therapy) and is scheduled for another surgery next week by a different surgeon. Dr. Gish stated he would never operate on him again when he spoke with me in the waiting area and also stated he should have listened to me. . I expected some sort of follow up after his ONE post op visit which Dr. Gish sent him to the Emergency Department for a CT but we never heard a single thing. We not only feel he should have called about the CT or checked on his status. I fully expected some sort of communication and explanation from him. We have never received a single call from Dr. GISH or his staff to check on his wellbeing. This is a...
Read moreHernia surgery, may 20th, 2024. My left side started hurting me off and on at the 2 week mark. Gradually getting worse, and keeping me awake at nite. By week 5 , I called Dr Gish's office and told them about my pain and could I maybe see him early , she said no. I told her that I did not believe I was going to be able to go back to work on July 1st, because of my side hurting. She said that was normal and the dr. Would not extend my leave. So I wait until July 1st for my appointment with him. I told him about my pain on the left side were my top incision is. He felt of me and told me I was healed and I could return to work. I'm 66 and work a 12 hr. Shift in a factory. I knew it hurt to bad to be able to do my job, but he would not listen to me. So he released me to return to work. I had to make an appointment with another doctor for July 2nd to see what was causing my pain. When she examined my abdomen. It hurt pretty bad. I'm inflamed on the inside due to the surgery and he would not listen to me. New doctor is extending my leave for 2 more weeks, with meds . I had laparscopic surgery.
