I really wish I could give zero stars. Regardless of the poor customer service I ALWAYS receive I. The deli department this time I was given bad lunch meat!!! My kids take their lunch to school so this was not okay. I purchased the deli meat last Sunday and noticed early on in the week that it tastes bad. I improvised for my children's lunch for the rest of the week and decided to return it on my off day which is today Sunday April 28th. The first thing I was asked for was my receipt. I explained I did not have my receipt as that was the only thing I purchased last week but I used my debit card and they could search for the transaction that way. The employee went and got a manager who offered to replace the lunch meat without a receipt. I again explained I didn't want the lunch meat replaced as that batch was bad and I. I longer trusted it. The manger said policy is policy. Really???!!! I was not asking for anything for free or even more money. So I asked for another manager. The assistant manager came over and already had an attitude (actions and body language says a lot). I explained what happened and he advised me of the same he would replace but no money back. For real we are talking about $3!!! who keeps a $3 receipt for something they expect to eat. He was very rude and unapologetic and then had the nerve to tell me I was just mad because that was not the answer that I wanted to hear. I said excuse me. No you are rude and most of the deli employees are also rude and I have complained about them before. I expressed my concern in why I didn't want the meat replaced but instead wanted my money back. He said company rules if I didn't like it to call corporate and turned to walk away I then said excuse me so your just going to blow me off. Horrible horrible store employees...

I came to order 2 boxes of freshly baked sugar cookies, and the young lady (I know her name, but I am not going to put her on blast) stated that she needed to ask her manager (name Jackie). They stated they could not take my order because they were booked up for the holidays. Fine, not a problem...
I went up to the Stater Bros location off Cactus and Moreno Beach Drive, and the bakery there was much friendlier and took my order with no problems (Amber took my order). They said they had a lot of orders for the holidays, but sugar cookies are easy. They had my order ready the following day at 8am.
So if you want to order anything from the bakeries at Stater Bros, I suggest going to the one on Moreno Beach Drive.
Other than that, everything else at the Iris location is pleasant.
**UUPDATE: 12/28/2022 I went up to this location for more sugar cookies because I live right around the corner, and really don't feel like making a trip in the opposite direction. I was greeted by Sam, Erica, and Jackie. They had no problem making my fresh-baked sugar cookies. I think Ms. Ela can do a little better with her customer service skills.
