Churrito Loco is The Next Level of Delicious, and is worth a drive from pretty much anywhere. Seriously. I’m sure everything on the menu is fantastic, but for our first visit (DEFINITELY not our last!) we had the Horchata ice cream churro sandwich with a Dulce de Leche drizzle. We could have added a second drizzle and a candy sprinkle but did not want to cover the taste of the amazing ice cream. We also got a scoop of the Mazapan ice cream, which is an ice cream made from a candy of almonds, pistachios, and peanuts. It. is. Insanely. Delicious. It’s like an almond cookie dough ice cream, not with chopped nuts - it’s smoother than that. At first I was using my spoon to eat a little of the ice cream out of the ice cream churro sandwich, but then my husband took a bite with churro and ice cream and he managed to say stop! you have to try this together now! And it was off the hook!!!! It was a Tuesday night, which meant that many people were there for the one dollar per filled churro night (max of 6 per person) - Nutella filling?!? Wow! There are so many amazing options and I know of no other place like this. Just be aware that if you’re using Google maps it was a little hard for us to find. It is in a shopping center but on the very end of the back side of a group of shops. Parking is packed. But don’t give up. It will be worth all...
Read moreThis was my first time trying Churrito Loco, and I must say it had really good options. However, what I didn’t Iike is that they don’t follow there own rules. In addition, they have no procedure in getting people in and out. And by that I mean, their sign at the door said “no more than 10 people” however, as I patiently waited this guy showed up and he just said I already placed an ordered and I kindly said “No more than 10 people.” Yet, it didn’t matter because he had no care in the world and went right in. Not one employee said “ you have to wait outside, because we are more than 10 people already.” Yet, the moment I see that the line is low (2 people in line) I step in and I have a young lady telling me to step out. Reminder, there is at least a total of 9 or so people waiting for their orders and 2 still placing an order. I know what it is like to work in the food industry and I know it is different working under Covid, but I truly believe that there is a better way to handle placing an order and waiting accordingly.
I find it to be common sense that if you placed and order to please step outside and let others fulfill their order ( it’s not hard, I did). If you are looking to try this place you will definitely find yourself waiting with no 6 ft rule, and no good customer service. Need...
Read moreThis place is just great. Along with the various items you can get, you can choose from the ice cream flavor, drizzle/fill and also toppings which they don't charge extra on as it is part of the price. Mind you, if you decide to be "basic" or "boring", it is not really be worth your money so try experimenting all the items they have. I recently got a churro sundae with vanilla, Nutella and dulce de leche drizzle, and the toppings being Oreo and mazapan. I took this home with expecting it to be cold or stale, but the churro was hot and crunchy while the ice cream was firm and creamy. The topping added some great flavors and expect myself to comeback with a different item.
Besides from that, the service was friendly and quick. The inside was clean and the vibe was alright with them usually playing bad bunny for some reason (not a bad reason but a minor detail).
Overall a great place that I expect to have more people coming so go try it before the lines...
