This place may be going viral because they offer head spa services but I definitely will not be returning. I arrived to my appointment on time and to my surprise, had the owner do my actual appointment.
THE SPA: The spa itself is clean but cluttered. As you walk in, there’s just “stuff” on the desk of the receptionist, on the “blowout bar”, on the tables, etc. it was very clean but again just cluttered with stuff that could’ve been put away.
HEAD SPA SERVICE: Pros - The service was pretty long. You lay down in a massage chair the entirety of your appointment and it massages your entire back, legs and even arms. It was relaxing but a bit uncomfortable to lay flat for over an hour.
Cons - The massage itself hurt. Yes, I could’ve told her the pressure was off but I thought by my wincing she would’ve gotten the hint. The following day I actually felt worse, not better. The head massage was just “meh”. Felt like someone was just combing my hair. At some points, it felt like I was being waterboarded. I also left very greasy/oily. Victoria talked a lot during my service, even pushing other products/services on me when I was simply there for the head spa. I think her timing was way off (maybe if she had approached me at the end and pointed out why I needed the services instead of during, it would’ve made for a less sales pitch approach). The “blowout” which I’ll get to next… horrible. It was a 70% blow dry and was NOT included in the service*
*5. The biggest con/shock was the pricing. First of all, the app to book an appointment is horrible. It makes you add on things like aromatherapy and just wasn’t user friendly. Super confusing and just not good overall. I booked an $85 express head spa massage and when I went to pay at the spa, my total came out to $142 PLUS TIP. When asked, Victoria said “oh our massages START at $125” which isn’t true (screenshot in my review). And then she followed up that the “blowout” is an extra $20… what? If you look at the booking, it says it’s included…? The blowout was a blow dry and she only blew dry my hair 70%. I literally left with a sopping wet head and her excuse was that if she blew dry it 100%, it would get frizzy - never in my life have I had that happen to my naturally straight hair.
Another MAJOR turn off if that Victoria actually told me that my highlights were bad and that my haircut was uneven… I was literally SHOCKED when she said that. I couldn’t believe someone who was trying to push her services would critique my hair to try to get me to come to her salon. I have naturally blonde hair and I have a ton of layers because I do blow out my own hair to give it volume and depth.
I’m not sure if it was just my experience with Victoria or what it was but I wouldn’t return or recommend VPro Spa in Morris Plains. It’s not worth the viral hype or head spa services. You can get a full body massage and spa experience...
Read moreMy first time here I was so nervous! It was my first time in a long time getting waxed since the pandemic started and my very first time getting a keratin lash lift and tint... VICKI IS WITHOUT A DOUBT INCREDIBLE AT WHAT SHE SHE DOES! My lash lift was fantastic! She took my stubbornly straight lashes and made them curled and darkened so I don’t need to wear mascara! Another thing is she is very quick and clean when it comes to eyebrow shaping. I have incredibly thick and unruly eyebrows that grow back fast due to my Indigenous/Hispanic mix. SHE SHAPED THEM PERFECTLY. And went into detail about how moving my arches inward more would help highlight, balance and flow with my face shape. Vicki clearly knows what she’s doing with experience and precision. I’ve been traumatized in the past where people have completely messed up my eyebrows along with burning me with too hot wax. During my waxing Vicki kept communicating to me asking how I was, how’s the temperature of the wax against my skin was, and really putting me at ease. I truly recommend Vicki. She truly is a pro at what she does. Vicki has a very unique approach to beauty care, as she graduated from Beijing Film Academy. Vicki has a diverse background in different methods and techniques, along with an eye of an artist. Due to being trained in Chinese beauty, her approach is tranquil and different than what I’ve experienced than from those trained in American beauty. All in all, all I can say is don’t miss out on making an...
Read moreThis was the most expensive haircut yet disappointing and horrible. She cut 3 inches & blow dry for $125, mind you this was a discounted rate ???. She requested a photo of me with the hairstyle I wanted, but despite showing my photo she completely ignored me and went ahead anyway to cut my hair with the hairstyle she had in mind without discussing it with me, she told me I did not know how to manage my hair and suggested to use hair products, I responded that I had sensitivity to beauty products, you would think she would listen, "NO", she slapped a hair product anyway which had caused the symptoms to break out! I requested that she give me a partial refund, but she had not responded!
The hairstyle I wanted was more for convenience and easy to manage, the haircut she did would involve so much time and effort as it needed not just blow drying, but a hair diffuser as well which I didn't own, and would never will, I had a course very thick big wavy hair strands and always opted for a straight hairstyle to tame my hair without hair products, the haircut she did, would call for hair products and diffusing the heat to achieve finer curls which meant I had to spend a good freakin' 45 minutes to style it, and I hated it, I am even more stressed in the morning as I rushed to work, because if I would not take the time to style it I'D LOOK LIKE A SCARECROW.
Not only did Victoria not listen to me and insisted on the hairstyle she wanted, but she wouldn't...
