Got a buffalo chicken slice, a Sicilian hot honey and pepperoni slice and garlic knots. The buffalo chicken was terrible. Chicken was 100% frozen not fresh. Tasted exactly like a Tyson buffalo chicken tender. Buffalo sauce, or lack there of, was cheap and sparse. Next up was the Sicilian hot honey w pepperoni. Not too bad but it woulda been nice if it were actually warm let alone hot. Had to ask to have it reheated. Anddd the garlic knots. Just don’t get them. Cheap dough. Cheaper garlic. And not a drop of olive oil to be found. The cheap garlic wreaked havoc on my stomach for hours after and I eat garlic all the time. Oh and the marinara dipping sauce woulda been decent if it wasn’t watered down to the point of being pure liquid. One and done. No thanks. Too many better options in the area to drop $5 a slice on mediocre pizza at best. Seems like they went with quantity of options over quality options. Service was good though.
Update: I have attached a photo of what was left and never ate. I didn’t leave a crumb because I cleaned my plate off into the garbage like a kind patron should. And I understand the chicken and tomatoes may be “high quality” but that also doesn’t mean the chicken was not frozen, which it definitely is/was, and the marinara sauce wasn’t cut with too much water to increase the longevity of a batch because when dipped, my garlic knot was covered in water when removed not sauce. It seems like the finer details are missed at Pizza Cento at the expense of having numerous options. Maybe the dinner options are better but for being a pizzeria in the highly competitive tri-state area, Pizza Cento falls considerably short. However, I do want to mention again the staff and service was easily the best part of the visit, they were nothing but overly nice and accommodating during a heavy...
Read moreSaw this place recently opened and decided to walk in and order a pie to go. Restaurant is nice and new. The pizza Ingredients seemed fresh, but the pie was average in my opinion. The ratio of cheese and sauce seemed off on the round pie I ordered. Crust was good, relatively thin. However, way too much cheese in the middle and not enough sauce. It could've been an off night I am not sure.
Also, for those that go and pay with a credit card, this place imposes a 3% credit card service fee which was not posted anywhere in this restaurant. I only found out after I paid and looked at the receipt. This fee was not verbally communicated to me either. As a paying customer I do not mind paying fees as long as they're disclosed.
I mentioned it to someone on the staff when I picked the pie up. The person did not apologize when I said they should put a sign up to disclose the fee for their customers. I did not feel the person took my complaint seriously, nor did I feel any of the staff care about my concern when I shared it. The service experience here overall left a sense of dishonesty and being dismissive. I hope the business owner makes the right decision to disclose these fees...
Read moreI stopped in for a couple slices to-go. They had about 8-10 different options available on the stands in front. I got a margarita slice and BBQ chicken slice. When I asked the person running the register which pies were margarita vs. grandma pie, they said "I think margarita is this one..." Not very convincing. The BBQ chicken slice had too much cheese, only 6 small pieces of chicken, and very little BBQ sauce, it was the lightest drizzle of sauce I'd ever seen. The margarita slice was not impressive. The plate they gave me had lots of oil on it by the time I got home with it and my drive is just 30 seconds down the road. The sauce was just okay. I prefer a sauce with more sweetness, theirs was very tart. Their crust is thin which I like, but again it has no taste. It lacks any good sourdough taste or tender crust. Maybe they do not use a good starter.... I had high hopes for this place, but if you're going to come to Morristown with Pizza, you need to do it right. We have a lot of great competition around here. If you are going to charge $11 for two slices they...
