Extremely Unprofessional and Unsafe Experience at Burlington, Morristown
I am beyond appalled by the shocking behavior I witnessed today at the Burlington store in Morristown. I went in for a quick purchase, just needing a plain white shirt for my son before his soccer class next door. What should have been a simple, quick stop turned into a horrifying experience.
While I waited in line, I noticed two cashiers taking an unreasonably long time to check out customers, all while talking and laughing amongst themselves, making no effort to speed things up. When the first person in line expressed her frustration, the supervisor started yelling at her in the most aggressive and nasty way. It quickly escalated to them literally fighting, with the supervisor even showing the middle finger to the customer. The situation got so out of hand that one of the cashiers had to physically restrain the supervisor.
After seeing the supervisor's disgusting attitude, I decided I didn't want to leave my money in a place like that. So, I began to leave the store, but when I accidentally left the shirt I was going to purchase in the cart, one of the employees, a man, yelled at me to return it to the racks. When I told him I was leaving and had a child with me, he threw the shirt at me and cursed me out, nearly hitting me in the face. I felt physically threatened and terrified for my safety, especially with my son in my arms.
I regret not calling the police immediately, and I am seriously considering filing a report. This experience was deeply upsetting, and I will never return to this store. The lack of professionalism, the unsafe environment, and the abusive behavior of the staff are inexcusable. I strongly urge others to avoid this location...
Read moreI usually shop at this store, but the checkout situation is always a headache. They only ever have one cashier, no matter how long the line gets. Yesterday, I had to wait about 15–20 minutes while a customer argued over a receipt (which turned out to be correct). The cashier was doing her best, but the line kept growing, and the manager was walking around, saw everything, and did nothing to help.
This isn’t a one-time issue, it happens every time I come here. I don’t blame the cashiers at all; they get clearly overwhelmed. But it’s ridiculous that management doesn’t step in to support when the store is busy. Having only one cashier at all times is poor customer service, and it makes shopping here way more stressful than...
Read moreOne of the worst store I have ever been where they closes fitting rooms couple of hours before the store closing time and the so called manager says it's a common sense who will do the trial at late in the night. Well, if your store is open then atleast 30 mins to the closing windows everything should be open else close the store early if you can't afford to maintain. Very rude and unprofessional. If you are keeping the store open for that time, working people will come when they get time and after reaching there and selecting the clothes, they are not there to hear that it's a...
