Fairchild Cinemas - Moses Lake 8 — Local services in Moses Lake

I went to go and take my son to the Movie Theaters here in Moses Lake for his birthday. We get there and there is a man with a little girl (not sure the relation) but they were there to see Trolls. She must have been 4 maybe 5 and she had on a little back pack which contained her little ponies. The theater refused to sell them tickets unless she turned over the backpack to the front counter. The guy then got upset because the little girl just wanted to go and watch Trolls with her ponies. She didn't understand. He got a little loud (we were the only other people there) and voiced how upset he was over this nonsense. He then went outside to called someone to come pickup the little girls backpack. Once he went outside I asked the counter lady why they wanted to keep her backpack. At the same time a manager walked up to the counter and said it was a safety concern. There was no where to put it without it being a safety hazard. I asked her if she took women's purses. She laughed and said no, because women generally put their purses on their laps. I then said "why not tell the guy to hold the backpack then if that's the concern?" She said she wasn't going to do that. I didn't end up getting to see our movie because they didn't accept American Express, so my son and I ended up leaving. As we were walking out the guy and little girl came back in. When I got to my car I heard the guy coming out of the theater saying something loudly to the people inside. I drove up to him and told him that I side with him and I understand why he is upset. Then I noticed her backpack was gone. I asked where it was and he said they had given it to a family member to take home so they could watch the movie. But when they went back into the theater they refused them movie tickets due to him being upset and threatened to call the police if he didn't leave. He asked them why they needed her backpack and they said it was to make sure she didn't have candy. He said they could look inside of it but that wasn't good enough. So now, they are telling me one reason why a little girl couldn't bring in her backpack and telling him something else. Needless to say, this theater is the only one in Moses Lake and makes me NEVER want to take my family there! Horrible...

Great prices and an overall solid movie theater experience! The workers are nice, and the prices really make it stand out. We go to movies in Wenatchee too, and Fairchild's prices for food are much more affordable. Plus, their child packs are perfect for kids!

The only downside was that it wasn’t the cleanest theater I’ve been to, but it was a busy night, so I’m not taking a star for that.

I haven’t been to the theater in a while, but this place is comfortable, clean, and has the usual theater snacks. The popcorn tastes fresh, and the prices are typical for a theater. Picture and sound quality were great. I definitely plan to go more often!

I love Fairchild Cinemas. It can't necessarily compare with huge IMAX theaters in Seattle or other large cities as far as theater size, plushness of seats, or technological integration go, but I have always loved seeing movies there.

Fairchild Cinemas really is the only theater for many miles and small towns surrounding it, so if you're looking to compare your options between various theaters, this really should be your only stop.

Fairchild Cinemas has become ubiquitous with the "movie experience" for me, and I cant say that I've enjoyed watching movies in larger, fancier movie theaters any more than I enjoyed seeing movies there.

Also, the popcorn is excellent and it's not hard to sneak...
