Hot Topic — Local services in Mount Joy Township

Poor customer service. Tried to return items from a holiday sale purchased 11/28/23 on 1/5/24 and was instantly told "No, we don't do returns after 30 days" by Ty (guessing they're a lead since they were training another employee). I questioned the policy asking how items sold on a holiday sale couldn't be returned after a holiday period and was told "That's just our policy everybody knows it". Mind you, I was more than happy to take the difference on a gift card bc I shop here alot (platinum member). So I called customer service to find out what they could do and he tells me they have an extended holiday return policy (like most stores) and he was surprised they couldn't return the item so I explained the cashier didn't even attempt to return/resolve the problem. I went back into the store and brought the policy (on website) to their attention they gave me attitude again but, low and behold after trying they were able to do the return...no apology for being wrong or having...

Hot Topic at the Gettysburg Outlets is my daughter's favorite location for this particular store - mine too! The store is well organized and put together. It also doesn't seem as small and cluttered as many of the other Hot Topic locations are.

The employees we interacted with that day were all very helpful and attentive. They are also wearing masks per the state mandate and are taking the safety measures needed to ensure the health & safety of customers, as well as employees. Dressing rooms are open, you must be let into one by an employee because they clean/disinfect the entire area after someone uses it. Hot topic is easily my favorite store but I'm not very happy with the fact that I bought 2 dresses that were the same size and only tried one one, thinking they'd both fit the same took it home realized it wasn't the case so I just simply tried to exchange said dress for a bigger size and was told I could not bc that item was marked on sale and all sales were final.
