Update: I changed from a two star to a one star because of customer service. I emailed the social media reps and they reached out to the restaurant for them to call me on two different occasions. Or maybe they didn’t and just said they did. Either way I didn’t speak with a restaurant representative. That is not the way you treat people. In short, the responses the restaurant make to the online post mean nothing and regardless if the restaurant screws up….you will be the one paying for it.
We are from out of town and stopped by to have dinner last night. We placed our order and when our food arrived we canceled our appetizer since they never brought it out. Then the bill arrived and there wasn’t an issue with it. However, once the waitress returned with the bill and our card there was an additional ten dollar charge on it. They had added an appetizer from another table. It is kind of ironic since our appetizer never showed up and they ask us to pay for another table’s appetizer. So they have supposedly credited us back the cost of the appetizer. I don’t know yet because I have two charges pending on debit card and my money is tied for another day or two. When the restaurant makes the mistake you would think they would figure out a way to make it right with putting holds on your money. The manager did come by to listen to me vent for a few seconds but other than that he offered no solution other than to call him if the money doesn’t show back up in my account in a few days. I am glad we weren’t counting on the money, that TGI Friday put on hold (which was $35), for gas to make it home.
I gave it a two star because the salad I ordered wasn’t too bad. Otherwise it would have been a one star. In short, they were not very well organized. So save yourself the hassle and eat...
Read moreI have been eating here for many years and have had many large family dinners with no complaints. Last night was very different. For 21.95 I ordered the sirloin with mac and cheese with coleslaw. Simple....right? The order came out and my first remark was "Are you kidding me?" The steak "dropping" was so small it was one large bite. The waitress even stated that she asked the cook if this was correct since it was that small. I just cut it open for laughs and it was overcooked. I asked for medium well, which is always a light pink center and this was dried out. The waitress asked to take it back and get me another steak, which she did, but the next one came out after we were all done at that point. Next, the mac and cheese. Who can screw that up. It was delicious actually, but what they did now is made a very shallow bowl, because when I dropped my fork in it, it came up to 3/4 of the fork depth, I just burst out laughing. Then, the coleslaw which was always very good and creamy. First, it came in a small round bowl which in most restaurants would be used for the dipping sauce for wings. Now this was false advertisement. The menu still shows the older style bowl which was always a good helping. I took one bite and it was now dried out and no creamy flavor at all, They removed it entirely and it was like eating pasture grass. I have never left a review before on food, but with the rising cost of everything, I feel we should be able to get a good meal. When she brought the check, she did state they were recently bought out. No wonder the franchise is closing restaurants all over the country. To me its simple math. Most people who like to eat out, still will even in hard times, just not as often. They will even pay higher prices, if the service \ food is good and their...
Read moreOur experience was awful last night. My husband and I took our little one out to eat at Gettysburgs TGI Friday’s and normally we don’t have a bad experience. So we went in and they said it will be a 15 minute wait and we needed a high chair. It ended up being a 45-50 minute wait because they gave Our seat to someone else. When they told us this, the waiter blamed the customer for taking our seats with a high chair, the waiter didn’t take the blame himself. So they finally got us a seat, we sat down and there was no waiter. We understand maybe they were stuck in the back or something. So We waited a good 20 minutes and still no waiter to ask for our drink order. A few minutes later a couple sat down next to us and they got waited on right away. We were so upset. After looking around and realizing we’re not gonna get served, we picked up our daughter and walked to the front. Before leaving, we expressed to the waiter how upset we were and what we witness the whole stay, and all he could do is blame the other customer for taking our seats. First of all, there were no other person looking to have kids with high chair to have stolen our seat. Second of all it is never the customers fault, it’s your fault for giving our seat away, when clearly we were right there in front of you waiting. TGI Friday’s needs better seating arrangements. And then why didn’t we get waited on but the couple that just sat down got asked for their drinks. It was 20 minutes until that couple sat down. And the drive home, all I could think about is, my baby girl and husband are hungry. A total of hour and 30 minutes wasted, trying to get food in my families tummies. It wasn’t even that busy in there. We will not be going there...
