I have recently started frequenting this shop to help complete some of my vintage Pokemon sets and I am glad that I have stumbled upon it. They may have a limited inventory due to their newer status as a game store and lack of reputation with the distributors in the area, but their prices are fair, which has become a big deciding factor in Pokemon products recently. Unlike other game stores, Calico Games is not scalping new and highly sought after Pokemon products for insane markups. If anything is marked over MSRP, it will only be by a few dollars, which is fine by me, because I understand that they've got bills to pay as well. They also limit the purchase of these products to 1 or 2 per customer depending on their inventory levels, so they have made it very clear to me that they are very collector focused and are trying their best to deter scalpers who only care about making a buck. It has been very refreshing, especially when popular products like 151 and Prismatic Evolutions have been selling for 2x or 3x MSRP at most other local game stores. For these reason, I will definitely be a continuing customer, and I would recommend that other people check it out as well if they are...
Read moreThese people really helped me a lot. I’m at the owner/manager. I had purchased a magic the gathering card, privately on Facebook marketplace and needed it authenticated. It turned out to be a fake counterfeit card, and the owner really helped me out and went above and beyond to help me retrieve my money from the seller when it had nothing to do with the store at all. He didn’t have to do that but he did. The staff was really friendly and helpful to. I would definitely recommend this place. People who do things for you with no strings attached when there’s nothing in it for them, and give you their time and their attention and their expertise. These are the people we should honor This seems like a really good place. I really hope they do great. Thank you to the staff and the owner of...
Read moreI'm a little disappointed with this shop at the moment. So I was buying shock and bond lands for a few decks and as I was putting them in my deck I realized I accidently bought 1 too many. I asked if I could return that card and they said no, but they would buy it back for what was less than half of what they sold it to me for. I never left the store and there was about 10-15 minutes in between when I bought the card and realized I got one too many. It kind of felt off to me especially for a type of store that's so supported by its community, so I'll just warn any and all if you're getting something here make sure you absolutely need it. On the upside for the shop they do have a very large collection so...
