Working with this shop was by far the most stressful part of my wedding. I should have known there were going to be issues when I showed up to my appointment and was told they didn’t have one in my name. I booked and placed a deposit for the appointment two months prior to the actual appointment, so there was no reason for that. The actual appointment was 2 months prior to the wedding and was mass chaos with our somewhat large group and a number of other people in the shop at the same time. I feel like the $50 deposit for the appointment should have been enough to buy 30 minutes of their attention but instead it was a ton of back and forth, jumping between people with no specific order. To cut to the chase, all but one jacket was wrong out of 6 suits. People were given the wrong items or too many items. They were told there wasn’t an order for shoes when I’d confirmed all of the order 3 times prior to them picking up their items. One suit was ordered in the wrong color after all of the confirmation calls and had to be delivered to the venue 5 hours before the wedding. That may seem like plenty of time, unless you’ve been married…then you understand my frustration. That suit was not well fitted which made no sense because they took his measurements. We started the journey of picking out suits for our wedding well in advance. (February start, May wedding date) We were assured that we had plenty of time and nothing to worry about... At first they got in the wrong stuff for us to try on. No big deal - plenty of time. Then after about a month, and picking a suit we were told they couldn't get those suit styles anymore. We choose another suit style... And a couple weeks later we were informed that couldn't get those either. Then again, we chose a suit.. ordered them quickly and were told several weeks later that all of our suits were stuck in customs.. meanwhile we were trying to choose tie colors and Tori kept insisting on a certain color saying that was one of our wedding colors... Kinda pushy, she insisted we take home tie samples to compare - lo and behold she was wrong. I did not like working with her in the least. She was very loud, talked over us and didn't listen to what we were asking. Mike was much better to work with, and ultimately we ended up just going into the store while he was there and refusing to work with her. In the end we had to rent suits instead of buying them. The owner was extremely rude to me. I called on the phone to verify that they would measure me for my sister's wedding and they assured me they would. after arriving the owner refused to measure me because my sister was having our suits made by a family friend who lives overseas where she is doing her missionary work. He assured me that if I was using a "brick and mortar shop" like men's warehouse he would have no problem measuring me even though they are a direct competitor. But he refused to do it even after I offered to pay him for his time. Even though we weren't sending it to some sweatshop to save money, it was a family friend he refused and was very unprofessional.
