Panda Express — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

Food is okay but prospective employees should stay FAR away from this location. The GM is incredibly controlling and manipulative and seems to think she is doing others a favor with this behavior.

My partner almost took a job there until she tried to get him to come in on his days off to train while he worked off his notice at his old job. FIRST she said it was his choice. When he explained that he would rather not she dismissed him and told him to, “make an effort.” Fine, managers are like that.

THEN she told him he could either cut his hair or wear a hairnet. When he said he would like a hairnet, she said, “Listen we all have attachments. My hair used to be this long. Cutting your hair is part of the Panda uniform.”

Except according to everything on the internet, Panda employees are only required to wear a hairnet and/or tuck their hair in. My partner’s hair is not long, it doesn’t even touch his shoulders. This was just her being controlling.

Regardless, a requirement like that should have been mentioned at the interview and not after an offer has been made and the prospective employee has already put in their 2 weeks notice. Normally, cutting his hair would have been fine but this is just shady and a HUGE red flag.

What a psycho. Her loss. He won’t be taking the job and we won’t be eating at this...

As I was ordering my food I asked if I could have a styrofoam tray like the picture shows so that way I could take it home if needed because I am at work and have severe behaviors so we could possibly need to leave immediately he then tells me that I unfortunately cannot do that because my boss told me not too I finished ordering my food went to sit down and one of my clients that I work for which I work in a behavior home started having behaviors so we had to leave I go up there and again ask for five styrofoam plates because we are getting ready to leave and still have a bunch of food left he proceeds to give me some small takeout boxes I asked him again please I need the styrofoam boxes I have a behaviors that's going on and I need to leave he then rolls his eyes at me and gives me the Styrofoam box .. I am not pleased that was very disrespectful and The customer service was horrible I will not be eating at this Panda...

I went through the drive through and tried to order a Beijing Beef with two sides. I couldn't hear or understand the girl. She did not speak with assertiveness. A guy came on and I didn't restate Beijing Beef because I thought it was on the order. I told him I wanted two sides. Leafy greens a.d fried rice. When I got almost home I looked in the box and there was no Beijing Beef. I called and was asked if I checked the screen when asked. I said yes but I though I would get the Beijing Beef in my order. Customer service sucked because I was told it was my fault. I will never ever ever visit this establishment again!!! Plus you don't stay open late enough for third shifters to order.
