Daves Furniture — Hotel in Mount Pleasant

I bought a mattress from Dave’s around 3 months ago and about the 3 weeks I called and told him the mattress has broke down already. He said I couldn’t get another kind but would replace the same one. I didn’t want the same one because it was junk. Waiting on a shipment to get same mattress never came in. Over a month went by I called and asked to get a different kind and this time he said yes. I had paid $150 for his junk mattress cover and always had it covered. My daughter and I wrapped it up yesterday and took it back to trade. He called in some help and they took mattress off my truck and took it somewhere. Then put the new one in my truck. Today the next day later he called me and said the mattress has yellowed stains on the back and that I tried to clean it . He said he could smell the cleaner . This was crazy !!! I would never ever do that !!!! Slander I feel attacked and degraded. I have no idea what happened to it. I told him he should have looked at it with me there. That way I could prove it was clean !!!! I am a truthful and upstanding person. My family and I are thinking this guy is crazy !!! . I don’t know about this world anymore !! I will never do business with any small store businesses again ….I did pay $900 cash for this mattress. This new one is junk too. I am stuck but have learned my lesson!!! UPDATE !!!!!!!!!! you are lying the mattress was spotless and if you would have checked it when I brought it you would have seen that !!!!! If I knew you were going to make up lies and scream at me this morning!! Why would I pick up phone . If I had did such a thing I would not have answered your call . It shows your number. You must be looking at different mattress . Do o you think that could be so ? You will figure it out and owe me an apology. Accusing me of something I didn’t do .. this is crazy !!!!! You are mistaken!! I can put picks of where the mattress was and a whole family to verify I did not do such a thing and it has bugged me all day that you went crazy on me for something you can’t figure out since you had it all day yesterday and then called and said I did this !!!! What about employees? You will owe me an apology…also I am 62 no kids !!! Beautiful home nothing of mine is soiled !! I don’t even own a shampoo cleaner !! You seriously should look again at maybe finding the correct mattress I dropped off . I am scratching my head trying to figure out why you are doing this to me . If I could give 0 stars, I would. My husband and I stopped here today and bought a mattress. We picked out one on the floor, so it had no protective cover. We asked the woman working, she called the owner I assume, and then brought the plastic wrap to us and let us know we could wrap it ourselves if we wanted but the man was out hunting for opening day. So, we drove 30 minutes back to get our roll back truck so we could lay blankets and protect it. When we got back to pick up the mattress there were 2 employees, female and male. They sat and watched us struggle to pick up a king mattress. We asked if there's anything they have to help take it out, the answer was no. These employees continued to sit and watch us struggle the heavy mattress out the door. Are you paying the employees to sit and watch? I own a business and would've been embarrassed to watch someone struggle to take a product they just paid me for. Great customer service during the sale. Of course. It was close to impossible to get any updates on shipment. I had to call every time and it was always a call back several hours later. After spending over 3k and waiting over 5 months, delivery crew arrived at 8pm to set up. The time frame was “sometime today”. The crew guys had never assembled the furniture I bought so they struggled. They finally finished at 11:30pm and said I had to pay cash for the remainder balance. After uthey called whoever is in charge, they were going to do me a “favor” and take a check. I came here to try to support a small business instead of a big box store and I regret it immensely.
