The place is nice and very elegant, my one star is not for the place itself or against other workers but for one specific ânail technicianâ. She didnât know how to use a nail file let alone shape a nail. She told me that some of my nails broke so she couldnât get them to the shape I wanted (understandable, thatâs fine, but at least TRY to make it decent). I had to keep asking her to keep doing things over in hope for a better result but nothing positive really came out of it. She didnât know how to use a buffer or realize the advantages of using one. She focused so much on my nail bed with the buffer that she failed to clean the end of my nails after filing it. Instead of utilizing the buffer, sheâll clean it off with the nail file again which just changes the shape of the nail again. Furthermore, she was pulling on my cuticles rather than cutting them (???). She did not asked me to wash my hands before she started painting. She kept rinsing my nails with alcohol and then touching it after. One of the reason for cleaning the nails with alcohol before a gel polish is to wipe off oil that is on the nails and basically just dry the nails. With her touching it after wiping with alcohol, sheâs just transferring oil from her hands which defeats the purpose. Gel polish goes on nails better when oil is not present/limited. She starts painting which the polish was running down my cuticles because the polish is being attracted to the base coat that was also touching my cuticles + there were spots on my nails that the polish wouldnât stay on (the oil). She failed to realize that this specific polish is runny so being put under the light as soon as possible is very important, however, instead of holding the polish in her hand to go faster, she kept it on the table which took more time cause she had to keep turning. I mentioned to her the problem in which she replied that it was only the first coat but there was no way I was going to put that under the light to dry cause it is easier to correct a gel polish before it goes under the light. It was so bad that I told her we can just skip the nails and we can just paint my toes with regular polish just to find out she also doesnât know how to use a nail clipper. After she was done âclippingâ my nails, I attempted to hand her a tip and I said that it was okay if we donât move forward. She freaked out and walked away. I went to the front to pay for the time she spent on me but they declined. I definitely felt the tension, and felt like I was the bad guy. Every time I corrected her, I apologized. When I didnât want to move forward anymore, I apologized but somehow she was mad at me...
Read moreWhile the stylist was nice. The results were not what was asked for- a big difference. Our total was over 200 and there was dye on face, ears and neck. The color was not the color anticipated. (Not even close) I wasnât going to do a review but at the cost of the visit and the results I feel itâs needed. A small discount was given for the error (still $200+ I did tip as we were there for 4 hours and told to comeback and fix the issue) but having to make a second trip just didnât justify the results. In the end, it will work but only because there wasnât another option at that point. Again, stylist was nice, but the payment did not match the results. Edit to add- we have used Vivids before and have never experienced issues like we are now. Skin is stained blue after every shower. Entire face has a blue-ish tint. Went to Sallyâs for suggestions and the worker was polite and shocked. Sheâd never seen anything like this. I had to buy $30 more in product to try to get this issue fixed. At this point Iâm livid and feel like a fool. I do have pictures but did not want to post as they could identify us. I do not recommend vivids here and I would ask the product the use. Worst hair experience weâve encountered. I do recommend checking with Sallyâs, and getting their input on things. I wish I would have caught any of their names today. Edit to add- Itâs a week in and sheâs still is struggling with tinted skin. Trying a second suggestion...
Read moreDishonest, unprofessional on every level. After getting a quote for how much my move up and partial color I drove 40mins from Midland to try a new stylist. She was nice but trying very hard to up sell me on new hair products. Which was exhausting. Finishing my hair looked ok. At check out I noticed My stylist Over changes me by $60.00. After I confronted the stylist they said they could âcredit my accountâ for $60.00 for my next visit. Still seemed oddly presumptuous of them to assume Iâd even come back after what seemed like they were trying to over charge me. At this point my check out had taken way too long and I was tired and I just wanted to leave. So fast forward to Today. I go in to shop the clothing boutique, just to redeem my money that has been sitting in âmy accountâ. I went up to claim my Credited for a top I picked out. I could see the confusion on the desk ladyâs face immediately. They had no idea what I was talking about. Nothing was on my account but my FULL color. (As stated before I only got a particular color.) I waited around for 30 mins for them to get the Owner and she was no help. Gave me no Real great explanation for what happened to my $60.00. She looked like she couldnât careless. She asked me no real questions to what May have happened or how she could clear up the situation. It was shocking that a owner would be...
