The Church at LifePark — Local services in Mount Pleasant

If I'm rating the worship team alone, 5 stars. Very captivating worship time. Great job. However, the rest of my experience was zero stars. There's something about walking into a brand new church, where everyone is huddled in their little cliques, that really makes strangers feel like an outcast. Even worse, people will openly and loudly make remarks about my service dog but don't bother to actually come up to make us feel welcome. I stand out. I do not blend into the crowd. Everyone knows I'm new and out of place when I go anywhere. And then there's the disability angle. You see I have a medical service dog, but you don't make strides to see if there's anything I need. Because I don't have any obvious physical disabled qualities. But if i came in in a wheelchair, or with a Kane or had some sort of visible disability, then I think many people would have came up to me and help make me feel welcome. Instead, I walked through the church like an outcast. Like I wasn't welcome or wanted in the house of God. But for as well as their worship was, Jesus was not in that building. Jesus has a very distinct presence and He was absent. I also did not enjoy the preacher or what he preached about. There was something very off about the whole thing and when my 16 year old son can feel there is something off, that really says something about all of those people sitting...

I LOVE THIS CHURCH!!! I worked at a hospital in nyc during the worst part of Covid and I had a lot of anxiety. I decided to leave the fast paced feel of NYC and came to Charleston to get a more relaxed life. I tried a very large church nearby and a smaller one and this one was just right. The first service by pastor Chad instantly made me feel like I had found my home. ❤️ One of the biggest reasons I decided to stay and live here. Everyone is so warm and welcoming and genuinely happy to meet you and talk to you. This is a real Jesus/Bible centered church that actually teaches you how to apply the Bible’s teach to your daily life!! 🙌🏻❤️ This church has been the biggest blessing to my life and where I’ve found some of my best...

This is a wonderful church. When you walk in everyone is happy and courteous and friendly. Our kids love the Sunday school experience and can't wait to go there. We have been looking for a new church home and we have visited this church and a few others.

We aren't done with our process, but this church checks all our boxes. They teach from the Bible, they exhibit love and inclusion, they worship God, they do a great job teaching our kids and they have a clear mission.

I would add that the Senior Pastor Chad gives the best, on point sermons, tightly aligning with specific Bible verses and principles that I have heard in the last 10 years.
