Been here plenty times and it gets worse every time we go. It takes us almost an hour to get there, so when we go, it has been with intention and a significant event. We have one out-of-town couple who USED to love it here every time they would visit us in SC. This weekend was the last time we wasted our time and money going. They should update their website to let people know certain attractions are broken/closed/changed. The main attraction we went for was for the formally VR Roller Coaster experience of the Great Wall of China. Which is now just a "motion theatre" It went from wearing a VR headset per person that allowed us not only to see the entire "show" no matter where we looked, but we also had audio specific to the experience. Now it is simply moving seats in front of a TV screen while the rest of the arcade noise overpowers any type of audio this "show" has and while I enjoy 90s rock, it does remove a bit of the magic of the "ride". Lame. Not only that but the VR games were also out of order. A lot of the games would require you to tap several times even after taking money out, for it to actually start. This made the money we all paid for our cards dwindle. We spent minimum $100 per couple and were 3 couples. This means we spent $300 right off the bat and not a single person at the front told us we were about so spend $300 where most attractions where broken or not fully functional. Also, the prizes have gotten to be worse quality. We basically spent almost $500 on arcade games. I played specifically for tickets instead of experiences which I now deeply regret. While everyone else played the non-ticket giving games to have fun, I chose to play stuff to get prizes. I spent 1,200 tickets on a cross bow toy that broke completely after shooting it once. It was a medium sized but still not a baby or toddler toy. Even dollar-tree toys have better longevity and are better quality. If you've gotten this far, long story short, do not waste your time or money here. The teenaged customer service isn't worth it, the broken down games aren't worth it, the credit stealing machines are not worth it, and there's never been food/drink worth it. Go to Frankie's Fun Park or Stars and Strikes instead, you will not...
Read moreThe least I can say is that it was an interesting experience. The mini golf and go-carts were very fun, even the arcade games (despite being mildly over-priced). Overall we spent around $300, which is a lot of money. The issue came near the end. We were playing the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory game and paying for it when we noticed that the game next to us had unlimited plays. So, not seeing any signs telling us not to play it, we went on it and began earning more cards. We played for a long while until it ran out of cards. We asked an employee to refill it and she told us that that game was broken and we shouldn’t be playing it. We stopped and went back to our original place, paying for it. Later on, two of our family members went to turn in our tickets while the rest of us played more games. In the middle of a game, one of them reported to us saying that we needed to come to the front. There we saw the issue. One of our members was kicked out, one of the employees said he was cussing and yelling so he was asked to leave, which he did. The commotion was over them not wanting to give us all the tickets we got. The employee said that he offered us 5,000, but he couldn’t give us all of them because we used the broken game. According to one of our family members, he also said that another woman once used the broken game too, so this was not a one time issue. The family member still in the establishment was very upset and denied that the kicked out person was cussing at all and that the employees were the ones doing it. In the end, we got a refund on the money we hadn’t used and one prize (for I’m not sure how much). All of us were extremely upset and embarrassed that it went down like this. This is a their word against ours situation, in which I believe we could have all handled better. So to you, Charleston Fun Park, I recommend that next time you have a broken game, put a sign on it. PLEASE. We will not be coming back here again. Learn from...
Read moreGoogle better be starting a negative reviews, because I would rate this place -5, if not more. My evening was going great until I came to the counter and saw the unhappiest employee who looked like she'd rather die than work there. Also the boxes full of toys and other things were EVERYWHERE around the building, which looked incredibly unprofessional. I don't know where manager was, because there were a lot of immature kids hired as employees. She checked us in, and that's when the fun part began. My friends and I paid for the $30 package that included 1 virtual reality, $10 in arcades, golf and bumper cars. We came to one of the clerks and said we'd like to try bumper cars. She rolled her eyes at us and said they're not working, but she could take some money off. I personally didn't hear that and she yelled at me. There were other people who turned around, because the black girl with long hair was THAT LOUD AND RUDE. If kids weren't around, I would give her a piece of my mind. When I calmed down, we went to do golf and later arcades. In the middle of playing, the game SHUT OFF. We came to the counter and it turned out they were closing. They didn't give us any warning, it was our first time there. By the law any management and business has to do that. One of my friends had a ticket for a free toy and they said they'll give it to him another day. He's out of town... When we left, employees laughed at us like hyenas. Very disrespectful and rude, and I will be contacting the manager and spreading the word. Everyone needs to get fired at that place. DON'T BRING YOUR KIDS THERE. The money...
