I shop here often and after buying a fixer-upper last year, I have given L & M well over $10,000 in the last 18 months. I will continue to shop here because I like to support local businesses when I can.
I had a customer service experience that was less than satisfactory yesterday. Took my used once Stihl 461, non computer, in to be looked at for running rough after 1 tank of gas was put thru it. I had a 2 year warranty on it so I thought it would be pretty simple to clean it up a bit and see what the issue was. The working manager at the parts counter told me it was a Carb issue and that was a wear item not covered under warranty. I'm a pretty handy guy and I've got plenty of carbs working again in my day but to turn me away after purchasing a saw that cost $1200 before tax with a Walmart customer service attitude of "screw the customer" put a bad taste in my mouth.
Long story short, check your warranties from this place, I will certainly be sourcing and larger ticket items through an organization that cares about my business. I gave this 3 stars but I would have given the experience 1 if it wouldn't hurt the company in...
Read moreWell I went to L&M Fleet suppy because I need a new battery for my pickup. I've been at this store several times before. I like the merchandise they have. They a good variety of products that fit my life style. Well when went inside I went directly to where they have batteries are displayed. They had at least 15 different one to choose from I didn't have any trouble locating the one I needed. It was a heavy duty truck battery and I was reasonably priced at just 115.00 I grabbed it and put it in my cart and headed to the check out where I had very friendly young lady with a great smile. She rang it up and I was out the door in no time at all. I like how quickly I can find what I'm looking for pay and head home to install my purchase. I did take a couple photos of my new battery but I'll have to post them another time as I got a new phone that takes great pictures. When I need a part or a tool L&M is my go to place they usually have exactly what I need and I'm always satisfied...
Read moreHad a terrible time trying to get a tire repair. We got a flat 30 miles out if town and called ahead to say we were coming in. Bob, the man we spoke to over the phone and in the shop, was rude and impatient with us throughout the process. He was annoyed when we had basic questions about the repairs and unwilling to provide any information about the timeline. We checked back in the evening and learned that they didn't have time to do the repair that day. We weren't upset that they were too busy to help us--that happens sometimes--but it was frustrating that the only person we could communicate with seemed angry with us for coming into...
