If I could give them a “no star” I would. They don’t even deserve a one star. I would never, I mean never recommend this company to anyone ever again. We used them 9 years ago for my father and boy has it gone down hill. After the first call phone I should have known how unorganized and untruthful they are. They said they never received the referral from the hospital case worker which was a complete lie because I was right there when she sent it. Then we were told we would we have a bed and wheelchair delivered on the day of my 86 yr old mother, with dementia, release from rehab which was a Friday. Low and behold they told us when we got her home we couldn’t get one until Monday because they had just received the referral. I asked them, so what do we do with our mother? Have her sit in this wheelchair that I had to borrow for the whole weekend? They did receive the referral because they told me they had it the day before. We had to rent a bed from a different company and they had it to her house within 2 hours. The nurse didn’t show up until the afternoon on Saturday, my mother had been in pain, crying for 24 hours but they couldn’t send anyone out even though we called multiple times. Once the nurse finally arrived the pain med prescription was sent incorrectly to the pharmacy 3 times and it took more than 4 hours to receive the meds. She never did a full examination because my mom “wasn’t cooperative” but sure had a lot to say about her “treatment plan”. She talked about different patients the entire time, and took phone calls the entire time…what happened to taking care of the patient right in front of you? They are the most unprofessional, disorganized hospice agency I have ever seen in my life. You better think twice before ever...
Read moreMy 86 y old father received a referral for home health through Rocky Mountain after he fell, hitting his head. A couple weeks after he got the referral, someone initially came out to his house And told him and my mother that he would be getting physical and occupational therapy. A few more weeks went by and someone new came to the house for a second initial evaluation. He and my mom told me that the person sat with my dad, an 86-year-old with dementia, and asked him a couple questions about how he was doing, to which he replied that he was fine. Then the person said it didn’t seem like he needed anything right now so they wouldn’t be doing anything. She didn’t assess his gait, balance or coordination, she didn’t watch him walk or transfer from sitting to standing- she didn’t address any of the reasons why he got the referral. I was super disappointed because he has been falling more and more frequently, it was a process to get the referral, and then it took over a month for two separate people to come out and give different stories about what was happening. In the end, he didn’t get any help. So disappointing. I would be really curious to know what the insurance had to pay for these two evaluations for a company that did nothing. I did call the company and leave a message, haven’t heard back. Now we’re back to square one trying to get a new referral to get home health from...
Read moreRocky Mountain Hospice is Phenomenally Wonderful and Outstanding! The day my mother got her diagnosis, we started interviewing Hospice companies, her words "I want to meet these companies since they will be with ME day in and day out". Hands down, this was the company for us! EVERY person on her care team was exceptional: Drs., Medical Social Worker, Nurse Case Manager, CNA, Chaplain, On Call Staff and Music Therapy. Their Respite Care week in their own Facility was very much appreciated. Mom got so much love from everyone, Rocky Mountain was a part of her family. She was never in pain, she never complained, she was and went in peace. Everyone was so caring, this is what you want..Terrific and Extraordinary individuals who make your love one feel special. After her passing, everyone...family here and out of state, our neighbors and Church family all expressed how Rocky Mountain Hospice honored Mom.
