It's sad that after over 3 years with this company and hearing about its growth that the service and care has declined instead of improving with its expansion. Support staff or aides (not all of them because there is always good mixed in with the bad. What's the saying a few bad apples can rot the whole barrel? (I believe applies here) They have no customer service skills whatsoever that alone makes one question why would they chose a career in the care industry and be so unwilling to actually care, assist, nor show any compassion and/or understanding towards a patient? It's digusting and has been disappointing to say the least. In just the last two days support staff has spent more time trying to cover up, justify or find excuses to explain why they refuse or may refuse to do their job than actually it would of taken to do their actual job in the first place. Instead letting it come to this point, upsetting me almost putting in the emergency room again and has given me no other outlet then to express my disappointment so publicly.
It's gotten so bad that I'm coordinating all my care and setting up my own appointments with their vendors and trying to find ways to get the medical equipment needed in my home for my care. Then they wonder why my blood pressure is so high or so exhausted. I have double coverage but they don't know how to use the insurance or bill it for the DME(DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT) needed specifically for my care at home. It's been pay first and then summit for reimbursement with no help or follow up with the paperwork to submit for the reimbursement. I'm not just taking about wheelchairs but also personal medical care supplies as well. I suffer from permanent or chronic injuries from accident with no diagnosis of anything terminal. Which I was told its palliative care not hospice.
But have been told there would be no problem getting what was needed for my car if I accepted to be placed on Hospice. My response was " Give me a diagnosis of the terminal condition or illness that I'm doing from and I will gladly go on Hospice." There was no response.
This company is totally hands off or interaction with your care if admitted to hospital and than as a patient you are responsible to update AMG, Instead of AMG directly communicating hospital or attending physiqians to make sure they know the recovery plan and goals that are set when released back into their AMG's care once you're home.
If I didn't need the help, I would of never needed their service but their unwillingness to help or provide the service they promised and they are getting paid to do, is ridiculous. You're a prefect patient if you don't need any real care or are in semi- healthy condition and the home nursing can handle most your needs. I often wondered why I needed both subs I was always being referred to my home nurse in most instances. I did like my PCP (Primary Care Provider) Katie Donnelly but she is one over worked employee and was yanked away and replaced with no input form me and without notice. I hear she is now doing intake visits, if true don't be fooled by this company you will not get that care from others in AMG. Heaven help you if you need more than one visit a month due to illness or rapid decline in health.
I even had to call at around and then call AMG for referral letter to transfer to another company. When they took Katie from me.
I hope this gives anyone thinking to sign up with AMG Services, that they will at least take my testimony of my experiences in consideration prior to placing a vulnerable themselves or loved one as a patient into their care.
Potential Patients or Family members always investigate thoroughly and make up you're own minds when it comes to you, your family members and cherished loved care. Don't ignore the red flags or your gut feelings, in most cases you're right. Don't suffer or let a loved one suffer just because it took a little more time or effort to find good care for them. You and your loved ones deserve the very best care and should recieve it at...

This is an amazing blessing to us! I have been given the opportunity to care for my parents during their final years. It was a struggle to get them to an appointment 5 years ago. Now, they have reached the stage where I am no longer capable of taking them out of the home for any reason...even with handy equipment and much assistance.
That has made medical care very difficult. Whether it is a broken toe, a runny nose or chest pains ... we have had only TWO options which are both quite extreme: 911 ambulance transport, or; ignore it and let whatever happens, HAPPEN. 😥
It is VERY scary to sit home in anxious fear over some sudden heart or neurological symptom or unusual pain that we don't understand ... (when a dial-a-nurse only dares to encourage calling 911... and EMT's are required to suggest transport to a hospital at their age!) ... but over which my parents refuse to GO due to their DNR's!
Dad is now on Hospice. However, when Mom has a medical incident...I am left with no assurance that inaction is not actually dangerous for her! (But up until now.. have had no choice, otherwise!)
Then came AMG! ❤❤❤
I have often felt that while medical technology has been making GIANT LEAPS every year since...I think our travel-incapable elderly (who are NOT yet in need of hospice) have lost much of the medical care, and definitely the PERSONAL care they received back in the day of the small-town, home- visiting "Doc".

Read moreThere was a time where I would have left a five star review. Their care for my grandma at the beginning was excellent! She is now 89 in her last stage of dementia. We started with AMG at least two years ago. After all this time, my first complaint now is with medication. I can’t tell you how many times they suggested a medication , we tried it, rejected it, and had to keep telling them that She was much better without any medication. 2nd- They help us get her on home hospice. I stayed as her full-time caretaker and they came in three times a week to help her shower. That Hospice was great in the beginning too. 2 years later, Medicare says she’s no longer declining rapidly enough for them to cover hospice. Hospice removed her, and then AMG disappeared. I was told that she was still continue with her doctor from AMG.( Mariel Pittman) however, when I call AMG to find out why her doctor hasn’t been back, they say that she has to work with a different company since she was removed off hospice. This doesn’t make any sense to me. I don’t know what’s going on, Medicare is a joke, and I am left by myself wandering in the dark, wondering what to do Now that I need help the most. What a disgusting way to end a patient...
