My mom and I decided to sneak in for a quick shopping trip to take advantage of the Memorial Day sales. Although we were there within the last hour, we were aware of the closing time. We were at the register at 9- the closing time for Memorial Day. We were sent to the other side of the store as that register was already closed. When we got to the other register, Barbara was the one to help us. Immediately, she informed me that they close at 9 instead of 10 because of Memorial Day. I'm not sure why this was pertinent info as we were already checking out. I informed her that we were at the register at 9,but were sent to her register because the other ones were closed. During the transaction, she asked if I was using my Kohl's charge or wanted to open one. I said no thank you. I then asked if she needed my info for for Kohl's rewards...she ignored me and continued to finish the transaction. As she handed me the receipt, I asked again about getting points for my Kohl's rewards. She said I did not points because I didn't enter my phone # on the credit card machine. I paid with cash, so I wouldn't have looked at the credit card machine and she never once prompted me to do so. My mom then chimed in and asked if she could go back in and do it... Barbara said no. My mom asked if the service desk could help us, she said no. She pointed at my receipt and just said I would have to call the phone number on there to get my points. I find it interesting that she had enough time to potentially open up a Kohl's charge for me (which would have taken far more time then asking me for my Kohl's rewards information), just because she might have gotten a commission out of it. On top of all of that, she couldn't even wait until my mom and left the counter to pull the money out of the register and count it. I love Kohl's, but this experience lacked the friendly and personal service that I would expect from Kohl's. Instead, I was given a rude attitude and I now have to do extra work that could've been taken care of...
Read moreAs it is with large retail stores, there is familiarity between locations and the items sold. Thus, it's a typical Kohl's store. My wife shops here regularly so I asked her for her opinion, too.
For those not aware, Kohl's expects employees to provide good service. They have rather high standards. Having worked in such an environment when I was young, this can be a struggle - and with Kohl's constant specials, coupes, cash back, I'm amazed how efficient they are and patient when such things get confusing. I personally pop in .ost often to process Amazon returns, and they provide this service with clockwork efficiency.
Hey, I love Kohl's. With its local roots, quality items, free delivery if an item isn't in stock, the rewards and special % off its a no-brainer. Probably 90% of our family clothing is purchased here. Store cleanliness is a given and even during holidays everything is tidy. In so far as this location is concerned, one can expect a Kohl's experience which is both familiar and pleasant.
(I do not negatively review anyplace based on one visit, as many do, and can wind up with a low rating because of one unpleasant experience. Having been here a couple hundred times, this review is based on broad experience as well as any...
Read moreI’m not usually the one to write reviews on negative interactions, but this one experience my friend had with a Kohl's Sephora employee felt like it was racially motivated. “I walked in wanting to do a exchange return but I didn’t have a bag so I walked up to the counter and set the item on the counter. I wanted to complete an exchange but I didn’t have the receipt but I bought it on my Sephora rewards and had the original card with me. The employee basically told me that they don’t complete exchange/returns like that anymore because Sephora has changed. Even though I had done it about two weeks ago at a Kohl’s Sephora, I bought the item from a Kohl’s Sephora too. I made it very clear that I was setting the item on the counter because I didn’t want to make it seem I had to gotten the item from the shelf wanting to make a return. Long story short, he was extremely rude and snappy; he kept making it seem like I stole that item when he could’ve looked it up on my rewards showing I purchased that item two days ago. His name is Cody (this is not his location, I went on 12/23/2022 at 5:30 p.m.), he didn’t assist in the way he was supposed to. Be better, it’s 2022, there is no explanation for this kind...
